SANTA FE, Texas - A spokesman for police confirmed Friday that they are investigating an active-shooter situation at Santa Fe High School.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured.
KPRC2 has crews headed to the scene.

Let me guess: He was able to enter the school from one of many wide open entrances of which none are guarded and passing through no metal detectors proceeded to shoot up the students none of whom were allowed to carry. Rinse and repeat.

Until we get serious about securing ingress to these schools these murders will continue to happen. It’s not about arming teachers (although I’m not opposed) it’s about preventing entry in the first place. Full disclosure, former school board chair of a district where access to entry is restricted.

Wow, pulling the fire alarm was incredibly stupid and completely against emergency procedure. Poor sub panicked.
I saw a screenshot of one of his FB friends from Turkey saying “good job brother”.
Another rumor is he is bisexual and was bullied by other students and at least one teacher. Rumors are flying, of course.
A little disturbing that most of his social media has already been scrubbed. Seems an unusually quick response.
So we have to believe a 17-year old student has been able to build numerous bombs, acquire several high powered weapons, and pull this off all by himself?

Pretty common, as is a diet of Hollywood desensitization to violence. I don't agree with Dave Grossman on his every last word, but his take on what the videogame industry has done to young brains is essentially correct. I saw it for myself at least 30 years ago. We will never - NEVER - see the Bloomberg/Parkland types go after the videogame and entertainment industries, let alone the pharmaceutical companies for the part they play in some of this.
I used to think that some of the U.S. military-developed desensitization studies were more appropriate for Berlin or Moscow than DC, but lately...
