Venezuela's electoral council says President Nicolas Maduro has won re-election, in a vote marred by an opposition boycott and claims of foul play.
Early reports said turnout for the vote was unusually low-about 46% of the electorate.
The main opposition candidate, Henri Falcon, rejected the result soon after the polls closed, calling it invalid.......
Government officials said the polls were "free and fair" but most of the opposition boycotted the vote.
The administration of the US President Donald Trump has said it will not recognize the results of the election. Posting on Twitter ahead of the vote, the US mission to the United Nations called the process an "insult to democracy...........

The opposition already knows they’re the preference of an overwhelming majority of citizens. They also know there’s no way that expression will be allowed to be shown at the ballot box, hence a boycott of this farce. The Communists are going to “win” regardless. It’s all pre-fixed. The only solution at this point is insurrection and revolution against the regime.
*SHUDDER*
Hahaha... 75% disapproval rating and Maduro still wins.
Of course it was rigged. Hitlery wishes she could have done the same thing here. She is soooo jealous of Maduro right now.
Damn right. Deal with it, bus driver.
Maduro disqualified most of his challengers before the election. There was no real opposition so there was no point in voting.
Would be good to workout a Pathway to Venezuela for all the American Libtards.
Its like the elections held in the PRI days in Mexico: vote fraud, ballot rigging and box stuffing to ensure the outcome for the ruling party.
They called it dictatura perfectada: the perfect dictatorship.
Its the same in Venezuela: a parody of the Latin American banana republic.
Nothing about Sunday’s election was transparent, credible, fair or free.
Even with all the resources the Marduro regime had at its disposal, less than thw half the voters turned out to vote.
I’m surprised they didn’t say 99.8% turned out like they do in Cuba to vote for El Lider Maximo.

They called it already with only 225% of the votes counted?
A fraud-marred election is not a resounding vote of confidence in Maduro.
Considering few turned out to vote even with all the freebies offered by the government.
Turns out you can’t buy people’s allegiances by bribing them to vote for El Presidente.
Was the UN present to observe the vote??? Hysterical how those from the Progressive moment in our country demanded the UN to oversee our elections! Hopefully, the Venezuelan Army will get rid of the Socialist once and for all.

That would have been the face of her first State of the Union address.
