Well howdy there, Conor! *HUGZ*
Great to see you tonight! Been quite a while.
I hope all’s well up your way. Are you getting any free time for “dirt work”? I know you enjoy gardening.
I know the humidity makes it worse. Our humidity has been a bit higher after our rain and I can really tell the difference.
I can’t even seem to be able to plan a short trip up there. It’s hard to find tickets I can afford. LOL!

It felt and looked like it would rain today but it never did. Just made it a misery to be outside very long. Not much of a breeze to take the edge off either. Tomorrow looks to be a repeat.
I hope your humidity drops before those triple digits hit.
Keep watching out for decently-priced tickets. LOL!
Well that’s a drag. Good that everything is getting a good watering up there but a break would be nice so you could get out with all your pretties, and so you could plant this year’s tomatoes.
I am watching for cheap tickets but David was right. There is NOTHING cheap before September, so guess we’ll have to wait. Just wonder if it’ll snow that early in the fall.
Hope you get some rain that will cool things off and keep the humidity from making you miserable. Bad part is, the humidity always goes up when the rain has moved on. Did you see fireflies again tonight?
YES THEY DOI!!!!
Did you hear about the NFL today? IF they come ON the field they have to stand. Or they can stay in the locker room for the National Anthem. Such a solution....what a waste of time and energy.
Changes nothing for me....no NFL, EVER!!!
Maybe everyone else wants to go up there to escape the summer heat - - supply and demand. :-)
We’ll be a tad cooler this weekend than they’d predicted a few days ago due to that system coming up. It’ll still be plenty warm, though, and will feel soupy outside.
Didn’t go out to see the fireflies this evening. Survivor was on by the time the sun set and I wasn’t moving from the TV. LOL! I’ll check them out tomorrow and many other times this summer. It really is a pretty sight.
I don’t blame people for wanting to get to a cooler location. Tonight while it’s 73 here...which is actually not bad...it’s 46 there. Sweater weather. And it rained there today. I wished a couple of the cams had sound. LOL!
Enjoy the cooler weather while you have it. :)
Good evening, radu....busy day, checks printed on time, very late night last night.
We are supposed to be getting a new person on Tuesday. Thank goodness it is not a pay week, but it IS a short week. I think to begin with she is just going to have to sit with us and watch.
The boss says she has Cost Point experience and that could be a huge plus. We “collect” time via time clocks and manual entry. That system is going away in the fall. But the time is “sucked up” into Cost Point, the system for calculating and eventual paychecks. So maybe she knows her way around the system, knows what can and cannot be done, and what works and doesn’t.
And I got a call from the local SS office...appointment changed to June 1st. “What do I need to bring to prove I’m not a fraudulent applicant. Says she...”just your driver’s license, and any questions you might have”. So I’m hoping she will sign me up for Medicare Part A right there and know I’m legit. I got a great list of possibles from beachy, and had them already in a folder. Now I can put them away. Saturday I will take a run downtown and find out where the office is and what the parking situation is likely to be.
I figure first day of the month is not the best time to be going to the office, but she set my appointment for 9:30a. They open at 9a. Gonna google it first. I never go downtown, so don’t know where I am going.
I can’t blame them either! LOL! It gets mighty uncomfortable in the deep south and an escape to cooler climes is probably on everyone’s minds much of the time.
Our temps just dipped into the upper 60s a short time ago. It was 73 less than a half hour ago and is now 68.
I haven’t checked the JH cams in quite a while. I need to try to remember to do that. It must be getting pretty up there now.
Another day with all the fun stuff packed in. It is so cool that you and your student can play together at the pub.
A replacement has been found and hired? YAY!! Now to hope she’s a quick study so she’ll be of help the following week. And that her Cost Point experience really does help a lot.
So they moved your appointment up? Good! You can get that out of the way sooner and be done with it. One more thing on the “to do” list out of the way. :-)
Scoping it out this weekend sounds like a plan. Using Google Maps is a good idea too. I do the same thing when I’ve never been to a place and it’s helped a LOT.
LOL! I read typo quite well....I understood what you were saying. Go forth and have more awesome fun.
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. How's it going?
It’s very pretty now. It’s like spring sprung over night. Wildflowers, rushing rivers and snow still capping the tallest of the mountains. Very nice. I should check to see if a billion stars are out tonight.
It sounds gorgeous. I SHOULD have a little time to sit tomorrow and will check out the cams in daylight.
No stars that I can see tonight. Looks pretty cloudy right now.
BRRRRRRR! There’s still a LOT of snow on Grand Targhee Summit!
