Trump stressed in a new interview that he still wants a "full package" immigration deal from Congress that includes funding for his border wall, an end to chain migration and the visa lottery system, and a permanent fix for current recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
He told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade that it's “time to get the whole package,” and stressed that border security is a key piece that he must have.
“Unless it includes a wall — and I mean a wall, a real wall — and unless it includes border security, there will be no approvals from me, because I have to either approve it or not,” Trump told Fox News in an interview that aired Thursday... the "full package" also includes limits to chain migration and ending the visa lottery.
“It's ridiculous. We’re going to change the system. We have no choice for the good of our country,” he said.

Republicans for the congress=not so much.
Agree; expect same behavior as last year, with a late FY submission to the President with the threat of shut down. At least our President has secured increased military spending that will continue under a continuing resolution.

The military isn’t defending our border, which is where America is being given away by our traitor federal government.

Not happening with the RINOs in the current congress.
The only permanent part of that “fix” is DACA. Once granted, amnesty cannot be walked back. A wall can be dismantled. Immigration restrictions can be loosened. But DACA green cards lead to naturalization and citizenship within 5 years. Why should Republican pols in border states have to deal with a flood of formerly illegal DACA voters for the next few decades? No DACA amnesty, ever.
Good approach. Don’t fall for any deal where we get a wall and no statutory changes. A wall can be blown up and not replaced if the Democrats are in a position to block legislation.
I think we already know DACA is going to end up a separate issue. It’s been the one thing that’s kept things from moving forward....or it may be Trumps going to have to give certain concessions on that in order to get the rest of the full package wants. That is, after all, the Dems door stopper they’re using.

I have no problem with that for a season, always comes when you relocate or substantial changes are happening, but what I like is he’s cutting excessive spending where it’s possible, and eliminating programs that aren’t working at the same time. Once all the dust settles then we’ll know where the nation stands.
