I think Hawley has positioned himself well on this.
He has done a good job of distancing himself from the growing scandals.

Greitens supports blame Hawley for a lot of the problems Greitens has faced. Some will blame him for the resignation. It's going to cause a split in the party; how serious remains to be seen. Personally I don't think it's fatal to Hawley's campaign but it doesn't help either.

Greitens was a constant slow trickle of bad news that was paralyzing the Missouri GOP. To be fair, the state party is in disarray, so it didn't take much. Still, I like Mike Parsons coming in as Governor, and like him or not, Hawley is the guy endorsed by Trump to defeat McCaskill. They have five months to put together a good campaign. It will be easier with Greitens out of the way.
