At least four police vans responded to the march as it made its way through Leeds.
Many supporters brandished "Free Tommy" placards and demonstrators chanted "let Tommy out" at police officers.
The march was organised by the group Proud British, which says on Facebook that its purpose is to "voice freedom of speech" and "stop the strain on the NHS, schools and our public services."
One supporter of Robinson told a reporter: "Journalist? F*** off — you're all scum".
Some protestors were heard making racist chants.
Crowds chanted "BBC BBC" in protest at what they see as the corporation's bias against Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon.
The throng gathered at 34 Boar Lane, where police used force to stop one man.
Supporters have said there is a "price on Robinson's head" as he prepares for his 13-month sentence in HMP Hull.

I believe it is high time for the MSM to get its proverbial pants sued off for calling people “racist”. There are multiple reasons:
1. Journalists currently avoid being sued for libel by using the term “alleged” when referring to suspicion of criminal acts. The difference here is that racism is itself not a crime, but libel is.
2. Racism is vaguely defined. By simply labeling something as “racist” it places people into an entire category of anti-social behavior. Similar to item #1, it smears people wrongly with a label.
3. Racism is very broad. Lynching blacks for being accused of crimes (or with no accusation whatsoever) is racist. And so is crossing the road when a group of black males in gang attire is coming your direction on the sidewalk late at night. Or it might be simply a misplaced word that makes a person a racist.
Calling people or their actions “racist” is severely injurious and should be subject to libel damages.
Oh, noes ! Well, guess that invalidates the whole cause, right, media ?"
That's how the libtards and MSM in America play the game. If there is an ounce of racism or imagined racism in any group which you are opposed to, then the race card is played and that frees them to ignore whatever is said.
We need one of those cards by whatever name on the conservative side I think?
