CHICAGO – A division of the American Library Association has voted to remove Laura Ingalls Wilder's name from a major children's book award over concerns with how the early-to-mid 20th century author portrayed blacks and Native Americans.
The Association for Library Service to Children's board made the unanimous decision Saturday at a meeting in New Orleans. The name has been changed to the Children's Literature Legacy Award.

Yep. Did you notice that the vote to remove Wilder’s name was unanimous? Just like when Stalin’s Central Committee voted.
Stalin killed millions. Still in history books. Marxism led to deaths of at least 50 million, Marx is still in history books. Margaret Sanger has led to the death of millions of babies, celebrated in history books.
What a terrible decision. Laura Ingalls Wilder did a great service for American youth in imparting the actual experience of being a pioneer girl through her wonderful autobiographical stories. He interaction with the Indians on the prairie and the ex-slaves is expressed as it happened and was remembered by the actual person that experienced these events and shares with following generations the experiences as they occurred.
In the story telling of the biographical tales there are slight rearrangements of actual events for the facilitation of the story arrangements themselves but Wilder is sharing this great experience of some of her generation before it is lost and murky in later histories.
To judge her expression, feelings, descriptions and portrayals by standards from our time is the height of chronological prejudice and poor scholarship.
As someone who, with his wife, has done a modest contribution to the endowment of the Wilder Museum in Missouri where she wrote these outstanding stories, I am appalled that the American Library Association can be THIS STUPID.

And public school librarians are even worse than librarians of public libraries. Most public elementary schools subject their students to enduring weekly library lessons, which often regularly includes specially-selected propaganda literature designed to embed their politically-correct concepts into young, impressionable minds. It’s worse than reasonable, normal people can imagine.
