There’s a group on Facebook called #Walkaway Campaign where people put up videos about what it is that’s making them leave the Democrat party. It’s heartening to see so many young people, blacks, gays, people whose relatives are ill, etc. saying how tired they are of the hate.
I hope the blue wave runs headlong into The Red Tsunami.
An objective soul would certainly peg our modern Democrat politicians as going way overboard. It’s a personal conflict thing between them and Donald Trump.
And here’s what’s wondrous to me. Donald Trump was a Democrat once. As was Ronald Reagan. Both discovered that their former party had walked away from the ideals they had prized, and they knew its vices all too well. Too liberal becomes “illiberal” and becomes a battle to the death of the twigs against the tree. If the twigs succeeded, they would discover that the tree that had been sustaining them is gone.
I have been watching that and it’s amazing! I have noticed a lot of them say they aren’t becoming Republicans but they are becoming Trump supporters. He has created a party of his own that consists of Republicans, Independents, and Democrats.
