On Thursday, four journalists and one staff member of the Capital Gazette were murdered in the newspaper’s Annapolis, Maryland, office.
While the event was initially widely covered by all major news outlets, the media is likely to quickly move on from the story, just like it did with the Santa Fe High School shooting, because it doesn’t fit the right narrative. (Unlike many of the Parkland students, the Santa Fe students didn’t respond to the tragedy by calling for gun control measures.)
That in itself is a shame, not just because there is much to learn from this tragedy, but also because the inspiring courage of the surviving journalists deserves more than a single news cycle.

I think they already have pretty much dropped it. Didn’t hear much about it at all.
But can the American people catch the deception?

After one of the survivors rudely and with profanity dismissed President Trumps proffered thoughts and prayers, I didn’t care to hear anything more from them anyway.
Reason 3: When the extent of just how deliberately and longstanding the targeting of this individual by this paper was eventually emerges, most people will end up agreeing that they brought it on themselves.
Reason 3: Even though the police were there within a minute, the killer still had the time to kill 5 because none of the victims was carrying.

There is no RACE, angle, or GENDER angle, or BULLIED angle or (known) MUSLIM angle or worst of all, no TRUMP angle to exploit.
The fact that mass murders are becoming an ordinary common occurrence has a lot to do with why this story dropped off the radar so fast.
They all do now.
Reason 4. The weapon turned out not to be an AR fully automatic pump shotgun with a bump stock.

That’s a poor perspective.
The guy had an article written up on him as a criminal. It was true so the suit was thrown out.
He’s just angry his already dirty name is being muddied more. He was also angry at the judge. But that was a while back, and the long standing is HIS grudge. Not like they’ve been harassing him since.

I just wonder if any one of the five people killed would have had a gun at the moment it was needed and then had the guts to use it.
So, arguably at least, Maryland gun laws are one issue but not the only issue. I suspect everyone killed was a liberal anti gunner.
Was the material truthful? Was their an agenda behind its publication?
