Just going backward catching up here
My understanding. Because they must use oxygen tanks (take on and off). Climb cliff etc it takes about 6 hours to get to where the children are located. Then another hour + getting the next group ready. 2 adults tethered to each boy Then another six hours to just the base camp within the cave on the way out The base camp is about an hour hike within the entrance So with all the stops to resupply the oxygen along the three mile rope leading from camp to location of kids
One person said the cliff involved would be challenging for a moderate hiker. Rest stops with water etc are also in place.
Originally the trip was to take 8 hours each way but because of organization it’s being done in about 6+or-
The person in the worse condition is the coach. A doctor is with all and they are. being RE hydrated and giving protein
It is quite pleasant to see a figure placed on the extent to which the rest of the world seems to take advantage to us while bad-mouthing us. Let them eat cake.
