That sounds good. Why wouldn’t we be offered, and happy with, the same deal?

Because the Euro-cuck, bugmen have been screwing us for seventy years and see no reason to stop. They’ve milked us like a cow.

They are not free trade deals; they are “protection racket” agreements, where what products and industries the EU is protecting is codified into its relations with the Japan (or whomever they make a trade agreement with) and vice-a-versa in terms of protected Japanese products and industries - outside of formal “tarriffs”. Don’t look for total trade between the EU and Japan to expand due to the agreement, as too much is protected on both sides, outside the formal system of tarrifs and other import duties.

President Trump offered to remove all tariffs on automobiles with the EU so I think that will happen.

Yeah I was thinking this was in direct response to Trump’s so called trade war too. I doubt prices to the consumer will decrease on anything imported, they never do. hopefully there can be a U.S/Japan agreement as well because this is especially good for Japanese car makers.

Other way around. Germany said they would get the EU to remove tariffs on vehicles if the U.S. would do the same. I don't believe it's gone any further than the suggestion phase.

OK, then why has the US economy grown faster that the EU or Japan despite all their tariffs?

Trump has repeatedly said he is in favor of removing ALL tariffs provided it is done equally. Trump knows free global trade is the key to our prosperity and really, to keeping world peace

That is such a stupid statement, with the intention of overstating the effect of this deal.

The total of EU and Japan combined may comprise a third of the world's overall economy, but trade between them is not one third of global trade. The "Five Things..." article someone posted even mentions that Japan is only EU's seventh largest export market. And tariffs on Japanese cars to EU will take eight years to go to 0%.

Which is why they proposed it. They know that one of the major reasons why Ford, GM, and Chrysler make so much money off their light trucks and SUVs is the 25% tariff we place on imported pickups and SUVs. Drop the tariff and the Big Three suffer. Will Trump screw Michigan?

Partner, this statement tells it like it is right now.

We are sick and tired of everybody in this globe dumping on the good ole U.S.A. You are correct in that the EU has been dumping on the U.S. since after WWII.

I am so glad we have a non politician as our POTUS right now since he told the EU that we will not defend Europe or any other nation if they do not share the burden that has been agreed to by these European countries.

President Trump is the only POTUS that has told the European countries that they need to pay their fair share or consequences will happen because of their reluctance to pay their fair share.

BTW, did I tell ya that I like President Trump defending the U.S.A. and he believes the same action that President Ronald Wilson Reagan told us some time ago that "Peace thru Strength" will be achieved in the U.S. and President Trump is doing the same thing.
