When does the competition end. How long before there is one entertainment company? Crwativity has ended in the entertainment industry, and its been replaced by just buying competitors and everyone producing copies of what each other is doing.

There was a lot of chatter that some investors were prepared to bankroll a new news network during the campaign with a conservative slant. Given the milquetoast nature of Fox combined with the influence of Disney, I would say there will be renewed interest in such a network that would most certainly find success.
Will they have any control? This will lead to personalities being fired.

In reality, only congress has the power to break up a trust using the antitrust laws. That being said, congress is owned by the big congloms. Looks like Disney will have the power to regulate what we the people want to watch with very little competition.

My knee jerk reaction is that M&A activity hurts competition and job growth. Yet I have been flamed for that position under the argument that creation of immense wealth and power in the hands of a few is the ultimate achievement of the constitutional guarantee of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
