The attacks on Donald Trump by his 16 opponents in primaries AND attacks on him by other establishment GOP were bigger by orders of magnitude than anything Roy Moore suffered.
Do you see the difference between Trump and Moore? Trump has charisma and Moore has none. Trump has attracted overflowing crowds of 10,000 to 100+ rallies and kept them eatoing out of his palm. Roy Moore has the charisma of a sick cat.
My point is, conservative principles alone are not enough to win in hardball of politics. One must possess the magnetic personality and charm to attract voters.
If republicans wish to keep majorities, they better pick their candidates carefully.
Only if they are fake principals and the GOPe knows it. Mitch was responsible for many of those defeats and you should know that. He picks candidates in those races and funds the ones he prefers and destroys those he don't.
