A) Do you really believe the number of real estate transactions rises with an increase in the number of realtors?
B) What if all the additional realtors were willing to work for half the commission you’re willing to work for?

Are you willing to compete against H1B realtors who live four to an efficiency or 1-bedroom apartment?

Start at Microsoft.
It’s an Indian-national-staffed company that happens to be located in Redmond, WA.

As long as they can legally work in the U.S., companies should be allowed to hire the best qualified person at the best price.
Amen....

Let’s import 2 foreigner realtors for every American born realtor. The foreigners are willing to cut their commission rate from 6% to 2.5% because that still makes them rich in their home countries when they return in a few years to retire. This will continue unabated forever.
How do you feel about your job prospects now?

The problem is that companies buy virtually unlimited visas from their congresscritters to hire foreigners for virtually nothing, and crush American wages.
Everyone knows it.

Because of how many spanish speaking workers are in the trades here around Chicago, it is almost mandatory that you speak spanish if you want to be a site or project manager.
In otherwords.... they will almost always hire the spanish speaking guy who knows a few words of English. Trust me, I work with these guys daily, and it is nearly impossible to speak to them in English. But they are somehow qualified to be “bi-lingual”.

Citizens are not being replaced. I have heard first-hand stories of people in silicon valley having to train their H1B replacements (who work for much less).

Companies should have the right to buy the highest quality but cheapest labor in the
US marketplace.
