No this isn’t a reliable poll. “Registered” voters is a bad measure in any case, but even worse in OH because of the state’s habit of putting anyone who didn’t vote in the last primary into the “unaffiliated/independent” bin.

These people don’t vote (40% vs 73-76% for Rs/Ds). Also, pretty sure Monmouth was the outfit I caught asking for the “youngest voter in the home” in the 2016 election.

Now, go to my twitter feed from last night & look at my thread on OH. “The Accountant” did a massive data breakdown of ACTUAL registered voters and HOW the UNAFFILIATEDS break down.

Bottom line, Rs hold about a 250,000-267,000 lead in real registrations, and Ds couldn’t win even if all the “Us” voted with them. They would need large numbers of Rs to cross the aisle.
