On Tuesday morning, Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford's expected testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee was being called the most-anticipated event in Washington in decades. By Tuesday night, the whole thing appeared to be off.
Through it all, as Democrats scrambled and re-calibrated their position, Kavanaugh appeared extraordinarily confident.
Ford says that in 1982, when she was 15, a drunken 17-year-old Kavanaugh forced her onto a bed, tried to undress her, and covered her mouth with his hand at a high school party.
Ford revealed her identity in a Washington Post article Sunday. Democrats immediately began calling on Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, to schedule a hearing. Early Monday morning, Ford lawyer Debra Katz told CNN that Ford would appear if asked.
"Will your client, Christine Ford, be willing to testify in public to the Judiciary Committee?" asked anchor Alisyn Camerota.
"The answer is yes," said Katz.
Calls grew through the day for Grassley to agree to a hearing. Late Monday afternoon, the chairman said yes. Committee rules call for a week's notice for hearings, so Grassley said the panel would meet next Monday, Sept. 24, to hear from Ford and Kavanaugh.

Refused to testify in front of a Congressional committee? Hmm, maybe her lawyer finally got through her dreams of her 10 min of fame and gave her a reality check on the penalties for perjury. That, and probably something came up that she and her leftist deeps state handlers realized was going to come out and show the whole accusation as the big lie that it is.

I repeat myself. There HAVE to be pictures of this woman who admits that as a 15 year old girl she went alone to parties where there were drunk Senior prep boys behaving badly. People kept and saved pictures of everything.

She would have to answer the question of whether she was drinking, and if that affected her ability to remember exactly where, when, and with who this supposed event occurred.

That's my point. Everyone took physical pictures. There were kiosks to bring film in for development in 24 hrs on every street corner. Those photos were saved. They've got to be in a multitude of photo albums and boxes of HS memorabilia. I think back to HS proms back in the early 1980s, for example. There were three hours of photos before the prom. (and lots of pictures of wild and crazy after prom parties)

Same problem here. Page stalls out in a half-loaded state. I’ve encountered this on more and more sites that seem rot have gone into overdrive with ad infestation; pop-ups, pop-overs. Video ads. On some sites ads have overwhelmed the content.
Is it any wonder normal folk cannot stand &@*#ING lawyers, auditors, regulators etc.? Punk-a55ed tactics like this just stink. Seems we are more beholden to Robert’s Rules than any actual character in the legislative body.
