We all have a sex. Either you are male (XY) or female (XX).
Acceptance of the idea of “gender” is the first step into the morass.

Years ago, CSI Miami did a show where they just couldn't figure out why their DNA evidence was not adding up for identifying the perp of a crime. Turns out "he" was really a "she."
For crime prevention, medical history and geneaology reasons alone, a birth certificate should always give the proper biologicl sex. If states want to reissue b.c.'s, let them add a line indicating a subsequent chemical intervention and/or surgical alteration.
