That’s why the left is upset over the NPC meme. It accurately describes the behavior. What makes it worse is that the people who program the NPCs only know how to code for anger and outrage, humor is beyond them. All they can do for humor is disguise anger and outrage as a joke by wrapping it inside a lie. So they are unable to update the NPCs with a decent response.
