Why pick on “AM”?

You guys probably don’t know that in some of the bigger markers, like DFW (Dallas-Ft. Worth) the AM flame-throwers also have ‘outlets’ on the FM band in form of Ibiquity’s digital ‘IBOC’ over-the-air protocol or format.

No I didn’t know that.

But clearly there are changes with technology changing, internet, podcasts etc entering the mix .

Also I’ve heard younger people just don’t listen to AM stations, and their listening to FM music stations is well below listenership from years ago.

The radio business seems to be in a transition right now.
