Rand Paul is the only guy I would support to succeed Trump - but he needs some work on the "charisma thing."

There isn't really any Republican right now who scores high enough in charismatic speaking - and it will be a critically important quality to counter the "Free college/free health care/free love...in exchange for all the rest of your freedoms!" message the Democrats will be pounding out in 2020.
