I had a great dinner at a local Red Lobster the other night. The crab cakes were excellent, the staff and service friendly and terrific.
But alas that was my last meal at the Red Lobster.
The Red Lobster, which I thought was in the business of selling seafood dinners and lunches, is in another business altogether: leftwing politics.
The company, owned by an outfit in San Francisco called Golden Gate Capital, is run by a slew of Hillary Clinton supporters who have decided to follow a prompting from an ex-Clinton staffer and make censorship their main product, joining the anti-free press jihad that has made it their business to silence conservatives in the media. The latest example is the targeting of Fox’s Tucker Carlson, with the Red Lobster officiously and piously announcing the following:
Red Lobster’s advertising buying guidelines reflect our core values and commitment to supporting programming that represents the highest standards of good taste, fair practice and objectivity.

Let’s be clear. When the curtain is pulled back, the real “core values” that run the Red Lobster, courtesy of the network of leftwing activists disguised as corporate officials, are contempt for a free press and free speech.

Well, in all fairness it is called “Red” Lobster...
Yeah but, how do the male lobsters treat the female lobsters?
I never liked Red Lobster as they bought up all of the Ponderosa restaurants in my locale back in the mid 1980s.
Those with money and clout.. those in the film industry.. and now red lobster... they need to keep their mouths shut.. their opinions to themselves.. For example: I won’t watch anything Hanks does... and he was so good at acting... I don’t eat ben and jerrys ice cream... and now I won’t eat at the lobster place .. where I have for years. Seems the money... the businesses... the education system.. have all been taken over by the libs and that’s a shame!!
If a baking business can’t have an opinion on not baking cakes for same sex marriages, and get hauled into court... then how do these liberals get by with what they do? (I already know the answer!) Even Andy went all out for obama.. and it’s hard to watch him on those old reruns, without seeing him as an obama follower.. and that’s pretty dumb.
Time for Joe’s Crab Shack.
We have the power to make another business rich and famous and allow the latter to languish in obscurity until it withers away because of its political views, bye bye red lobster one more corporation to the dust bin of history
The Dead Lobster.... that’s the name I call it.
Thought it was a Darden Restaurant....I havent eaten there but 4 times in my life and not a single sit down since Obama took office.....Seems Darden sold it for a billion in 2014...I didnt know and still have not been back and will never.
Their food isn’t that great.
I know people have enjoyed their food in the past, but for me the appeal of “totalitarian leftist corporate seafood” has no appeal.
I wouldn't say I've ever had a "great" meal at Red Lobster. Sure, it's a cut or two above fast food but that's about it.
Instead of an actual review of a meal, this sounds like a preemptive defense against a charge of defamation by Red Lobster.
I scanned this article but could not determine exactly what Red Lobster DID to Tucker. There was the usual boilerplate, “Red Lobster’s advertising buying guidelines reflect our core values and commitment to supporting programming that represents the highest standards of good taste, fair practice and objectivity” and a litany of the holding company’s liberal resume, but no specifics.
Did anyone catch anything definite?
The parent company for Red Lobster also owns Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, as well as several other eateries.
Skip chain restaurants and patronize your local food places.
After they infiltrated the culture with PC language, they started calling people names like racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, etc.
Then they tried to tell us that being white was a "privilege".
And that being a man was "toxic".
Next the whole idea of "free speech" was challenged. Only "their speech" was allowed.
Now they are controlling the media, the school systems, and it has finally crept into the business world, where if you are of the "wrong persuasion", meaning conservative, you are not allowed to do business with them.
Anybody see where this is headed?
Ultimately it will be mandatory to be reprocessed and reeducated in internment camps, where the "deplorables" will be rewired to hate America and love globalism, which is just another term for communism.
Eventually "free speech" will get you thrown in jail, cause you to lose your job and be hauled into court to demand reparations for saying something the Constitution allows you to say.
Seems like we are already there.
I get my crabs from Dirty Dick’s in Panama City Beach.
So OK. This week I put Red Lobster and Gillette on my boycott list, beside Dicks, Yeti, Levi’s and Auto Zone.
Good to know. But being of Italian extraction I wouldn’t eat at Olive Garden on a bet. Actually I rarely eat out. I don’t trust strangers playing with my food (and I have developed nasty food allergies in my old age)
