Ashen and Conflicted – Senator Schumer Discusses Private Meeting With AG Nominee William Barr…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | Jan. 16, 2019 | Sundance

Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer met privately with AG nominee William Barr earlier today. At the conclusion of the meeting Senator Schumer addresses the media. Schumer appears conflicted and confused as to how to describe his own highly political desires with the answers he received from Mr. Barr. It does not appear Schumer was pleased with his overall inability to leverage control over the nominee; and that comes out in the early part of his statement. That’s a good sign. Watch:

Sundance is a little too vague here. According to Schumer, Barr: 1) refused to commit to releasing a full version of any report Mueller may write, redacted only for national security matters and 2) refused to commit to complete non-interference in the Mueller investigation in regard to matters like issuance of subpoenas. My remarks are a brief summary of what I heard while trying to listen to Schumer's opening remarks at the press conference. Please listen to them yourselves.

Taking this along with Barr's refusal to acquies to Kamala Harris' demand that he recuse himself in regard to the Mueller investigation, as noted in the following post:

it strikes me that he might not be too bad. Stay tuned for more.

Barr must have given Schemer some ‘news’ that will be devastating to him and their party..............................

WHY are they having a PRIVATE meeting vs. a public one? They are screaming bloody murder over Trump having a meeting Putin or somebody and want the transcripts claiming a public official can’t have private meetings. Hypocrisy?

Nominees typically hold private meetings with key Senators, usually to discuss or vet confidential or sensitive matters.

In fact, that was one of the knocks against Feinstein vis a vis Kavanaugh. She could have, and and should have, raised the Blasy Ford allegtions there first.

Let’s not kid ourselves. SCHEMER KNOWS ALL THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT THE WHOLE DEAL.

He AND PELOSI BOTH KNOW!

He was just looking for some leverage to keep it all under the rug for as long as possible or at least until after the 2020 elections....................

Barr seems to be saying he will be an independent AG and won’t cowtow to Trump or the liberals. Hard to say what he will do.

So SCHEMER could discus ways to keep Barr from releasing ANY INFO that is detrimental to the Dem party. He knows everything is a fake and it will blow up like a nuclear bomb, soon.................

That's nice, except nobody votes for the AG.
We vote for POTUS. AG and ALL Executive Branch appointees must answer to POTUS, otherwise our elections mean nothing.

I hope and pray Barr is a plant.

He REEKS of the swamp. He looks like he will be WORSE than Sessions. And with Trump’s pitiful record of selecting - well everyone - I fear this will be a big screwup.

Unless Barr is flying a false flag. Just to get approval.

Chuckie said that “Trump has treated the Justice Department as his personal fiefdom ... to punish his enemies.” Based on what we know from Solomon and Carter et.al., this is pure physiological projection. As part of the “Gang-of-Eight”, Schumer was in on the “Witch Hunt” from the beginning.

Sure seems to be Sessions 2.0. I wonder what his pet projects will be while Rome burns?

It’s called “back room”, or perhaps “wood shed”.

No doubt there is an enormous catalog of “opposition research” on Chuck Schumer, and perhaps a number of other “prominent Democrats”, that if it surfaced, would be considerably more awkward for any of them than first imagined.

These are the secret rules that Democrats have been using on the more wobbly of Republicans, and they have been served well. But it is time the minority party gets to enjoy the perks and benefits of BEING the minority party, on an fair and equitable basis.

Normally I wouldn’t care but they are judging Trump with a fine toothed comb over any meeting, words uttered or meals served.

You breezily dismiss the bipartisan Never Trump blastlists that started during the primary season and the bullying tactics of Democrats. It’s very likely only disloyal Swampers are even interested in working for him. Would you want Democrats in masks at your home scaring your children? I think not.
