Brenda Snipes says Gov. DeSantis let her resign with ‘my name and my dignity’ intact
Sun Sentinel ^ | January 19, 2019 | Larry Barszewski

Gov. Ron DeSantis did something Friday his predecessor would not: Let former Broward Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes leave office with her dignity intact. DeSantis did away with former Gov. Rick Scott’s suspension of Snipes and accepted her resignation. Snipes welcomed the decision. “I was really concerned about restoring my name and my dignity,” Snipes told the South Florida Sun Sentinel on Friday night. “Now there’s no shadow hanging over the office that I led for 15 years.” DeSantis said it was time to focus on the future. “The important thing is not to throw mud about what happened in the past, but let’s get on a better footing,” DeSantis said in West Palm Beach, where he announced his decision. “Let’s make sure this doesn’t happen again [snip] Snipes is eligible to receive a pension of $71,556 for her time as supervisor, state officials said. That will be in addition to the $58,560 state pension she gets for her time as a school teacher and administrator.

Wrong, There will always be a DIRTY FILTHY stain on Snipes. Her permanent legacy is unfettered systemic cheating for the democrat party.

123K pension. She needs to hurry, .... as Saran is waiting.

THIS IS WHAT SHE CALLS "DIGNITY."

For 15 years, Snipes has served as Broward County’s elections chief, with mixed results. Long lines and vote counts that continued long after polls closed marred elections in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2012, 2016 and this year.

Among other issues:
-- A court ruled she had broken election law when she destroyed ballots from the 2016 election 12 months after it, instead of the 22 months required by federal law.
-- A medical marijuana amendment was left off some ballots in 2016.
-- Election results in the 2016 primary were posted on the elections office’s website before polls closed, another violation of election law.
-- In 2012, almost 1,000 uncounted ballots were discovered a week after the election
-- In 2004, some 58,000 mail-in ballots were not delivered to voters, leaving election officials to scramble to send new ones....[snip]

.... Republicans say she is incompetent at best, corrupt at worst, and that she needs to go. Even the president got in on the act, tweeting, “In the 2016 Election I was winning by so much in Florida that Broward County, which was very late with vote tabulation and probably getting ready to do a ‘number,’ couldn’t do it because not enough people live in Broward for them to falsify a victory!”... SNIPES MOST NOTORIOUS “PROOF OF FRAUD”
BlackBoxVoting.org | November 13, 2018 | Bev Harris FR Posted by E. Pluribus Unum

“Election officials wouldn’t let me see the ballots. Then they destroyed them, in violation of the law.” “Are you saying there was fraud?” “Election officials refused to report the number of votes by the legal deadline. When more votes showed up a day later, we could not find out where they came from.” “Are you saying there was fraud?” You cite concrete information on specific, provable violations of the law. But the follow up question is a diversion, refocusing attention. It is accusatory, a challenge to prove something which may be unprovable (if records are destroyed) or at least, need time to investigate.

So let’s get some clarity on this. You don’t have to answer that question. “Election fraud” is a generic term. Laws, however, are specific. You either followed the law or you didn’t. In the U.S., the law requires federal ballots to be retained for 22 months. Florida Sunshine Law requires that ballots be produced for inspection at the request of any person.

In 2016 Tim Canova ran in a Democrat primary against Debbie Wasserman Schultz. After his loss, he asked to examine the ballots under Florida Sunshine Law. Broward County did not allow him to see the ballots, stalling month after month until he took them to court. That is a violation of the law. What happened to Canova was obstruction. When Canova sued to see the ballots, Broward County destroyed them. That is a violation of the law. It is ballot tampering. (Excerpt) Read more at blackboxvoting.org ...

By resigning, it clears the way for a permanent replacement immediately. There is a lot of work to be done for the 2020 election.

She can and will still be investigated for so many crimes she committed this last election.

Living in NJ, I’ve seen this stuff before and have my doubts. I hope it works out that way; seems like she’s protected by race and gender, and will just laugh all the way to the bank.

These gibsmedats are the overhead employers can’t afford when they flee NJ; hope Florida fares better.

Where is accountability? Another example of a different standard of justice for the elites and the political class. The integrity of the voting system is the foundation of our Republic.

The new governor DeSantis is attempting to have good links with the Broward county lefties. Little does he know that he has made a horrid mistake. They need to feel the perpetual sting of righteousness to deter them from future attempts to usurp an election.

Now DeSantis has not acted to keep the election process safe and secure.

Gov. DeSantis just picked up some momentary kudos from Democrats in Florida. Let's see how long that goodwill lasts. Perhaps this was just the thing that was needed to bring our country back together.

On the other hand, he has rewarded corruption and failure.

The process of breeding out guilt and shame also took out common sense and left them with an average IQ of 80.It also induced a propensity for mindless violence.

In this litigious world, the lawyers and political wonks weight the cost-to-benefit ratio. Run the numbers from the state’s perspective.

<>Brenda is about 75 years old. With a fan club in Broward County and a gaggle of media willing to play her colorful sound-bites.
<>Pursuing litigation would involve a legion of costly lawyers, tie-up multiple courtrooms arguing over her alleged crimes and appeals.
<>Florida now has an opportunity to grab control of the Election Dept. staff, the procedures, and reliability of the voting process.

Yes, it is an ugly choice, but the path may be a reasoned and rational path the restoring public confidence and retiring part of the Broward County Circus.

In anti American liberalland, she is a heroine. Possibly a legend.

Any one of us would have been in the Big House in a New York minute. But Snipes will enjoy her freedom, write a few ghost books, and live the high life.

The race card is nice to play, the gender card is even better. But the combination makes one invincible!

Ain’t fascism grand?
