Former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe publicly admitted that after the firing of James Comey, national security officials strategized on invoking the 25th amendment to remove President Trump from office.
“There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment,” Scott Pelley said he learned in his “60 Minutes” interview with McCabe.
Pelley described the top bureaucrats as “counting noses,” and speculating on where various cabinet members might stand on the question of the president’s removal.

This is not treason, because no foreign power is involved. It’s sedition or possibly conspiracy to commit sedition. Brandenburg v. Ohio recognizes broad 1st Amendment rights to seditious speech, but McCabe’s acts may be over the line. If prosecuted, this case would inevitably go to the Supreme Court.

I think his hook is that his admission will paint the others that were complicit into a corner with that word, coup.
Since McCabe was so central and gave the orders that so many others carried out, at least what they were part of won't be able to escape that "coup" word.
Rush has been talking about how and why the left hate Trump so much. There are excuses, but ya’ can’t really say they have any good reasons... maybe the best one is “power”.

But then there are many things that do allow it to make sense.

I don't think it's illegal. Lobbying cabinet members to remove the President because you hate him is immoral and unethical. But the 25th amendment is a real thing in the Constitution and they were trying to exploit it to create a legal coup. An invalid one, you can't use it to remove a guy because you don't like him or even because he committed crimes but rather only if he's incapacitated. But they clearly don't care about the law, only the outcome. We saw that with hos they covered up Hillary's obvious crimes.
Surely they counted on Sessions to recuse himself because that's all he ever did with the job but who did they think would be on board I wonder? Kelley? Mattis? Tillerson? Chao?

Together with many who voted for President Trump, I pray for him every day.
Good question regarding DIRTY COP MCCABE.
I can only imagine he must have talked and obtained a plea deal in return.
Either that or he knows he’s going to prison for the rest of his life.
The problem I have with McCabe walking after talking is that his crimes go way back fifteen years where in Oregon he railroaded an innocent Muslim kid so that he could build his resume under the Patriot Act.
Americans are not sympathetic to Islam but they are definitely less sympathetic to public officials who abuse their authority for their own benefit which McCabe learned he could do with impunity. He learned he could get away with insider crime because of his position and what’s more he could be promoted for it.
For example, McCabe could be called on to target someone and make them disappear or be found to have committed suicide. He did this by having many go-betweens like the Awans go to their Mosque outside DC in Virginia and contact someone like Mahmood who would hire MS-13 types to perform a murder or kidnapping, then a convicted felon controlled by McCabe’s proxies would off the MS-13 killers the day after. This is standard rogue CIA operating procedure, to hire killers, then kill the killers in order to achieve a ‘dead men tell no tales’ outcome.
McCabe was never regular FBI. There are two FBIs. One is the solid FBI of high ethical standards still found in FBI field offices. The other developed under the Patriot Act as part of the JTTF. The CIA took control of FBI HQ which is why the character, ethics, perspective of the top brass changed. McCabe was JTTF FBI, then promoted to FBI HQ. He learned everything from CIA retreads which is why he made up his own law.
The character of CIA retreads is one of ‘rules don’t matter’ because, in overseas operations, the host countries have rulers who make the rules, there are no rights for others. This mindset permeated JTTF, then FBI HQ and McCabe rode in on this new way of doing business.
In other words, the CIA operated in 3rd world sh*tholes and picked up local habits in so operating. Then when JTTF became the new gig, they brought those bad habits home.
Well, JTTF navigated by this dirty CIA mindset, ended up plotting to overthrow a duly elected US President. And Americans are going to be immersed in a long series of trials where all this comes out.
