I actually like the expression on the girl’s face his right elbow is pointing at more than the iconic kiss. It also most seems to say “Why didn’t you pick me, sailor?” I was thinking the same thing about the sailor in the background.

I think the sailor in the background is having more of a "Why didn't I think of that first?" look.
But it is a great Kodak moment no matter how you slice it.
Trivia question: Who knows where the name Kodak originated?
