The Mercury News didn’t seem to be so bad a decade or so ago.

Maybe I’m not remembering it very clearly, but these days all you see out of it is far radical Leftist viewpoints.

Trump stands on solid Constitutional ground here, and it’s really annoying to see a paper of record not have to mental faculties to grasp that.

They are clearly seeking to hoodwink the public, and it seem a betrayal of the public trust.

In the age of PDJT, Will and the rest of the Fredocons are trying to be revalent. All they are succeeding at is being fools.

It is amazing how dishonest everyone is these days. George knows about the 1976 National Emergency act yet he pretends it does not exist because it does not fit his narrative. How deceitful.

A self impressed “genius” sounds like a raving fool. More like a sellout getting money from traitors.

The judiciary trashed the Constitution when it legalized abortion, gay marriage, and the use of regulation to seize private property without compensation.

Or the 100 times Obama rewrote parts of the ACA all by himself without going back to Congress.

I had to read the entire mess of an article until I got to the bottom where I found out he is complaining about Trump’s “evisceration of the Constitution’s architecture of checks and balances.”

He says Congressmen are complicit by “opposing a binding resolution disapproving the president’s declaration of an emergency, they would approve Congress’ acquiescence in the loss of its core power, that of controlling spending.”

Will willfully ignores the specific laws that Congress passed post-Watergate that give the President the power to redirect money to national defense in times of national emergency.

What a cretin.

Most of us believed that Will was a Conservative, but then that’s what we were told he was whenever he was introduced on cable news programs. Could be he really wasn’t, and was just another middle of the road Bush-League member back then too. He’s really shown his true nature since Trump was elected, as have many others. I haven’t watched cable news programming for many years now, so the only time I run across these yahoos, is in articles posted on FR.

"I think people who cheat on their wives, wear cheap toupees and sell out to their supposed opposition should be expelled from public life."

Will wears a toupee? Haven't seen him in years, but that's because I don't watch any news programs. I did a search for him, and discovered he and his wife of 22 years divorced back in the late 80's, then he married a woman 13 years his junior in '92. He's just another slug like the rest of the anti-Trumpers.

Upon his death, whether he’s cremated or buried in a casket, the people who prepare his corpse are going to have to deal with that huge chip on his shoulder.

Did Jorge Wills give any examples of the President “trashing the Constitution?”

George Will needs to go back to baseball and go play with his bat and balls (assuming he has any).

George Will was a conservative for his audience but actually a supporter of the evil wing of the party. His mask came off and he became totally unhinged with Trump securing the nomination.

.
The Murkey nooz is a comic book.

Trump’s actions were authorized by a constitutionally functional congress.

George Will suffers from the need for Bill Kristol’s approval and his wife’s disappointment.
