Poll: Few Americans say they have benefited from key aspects of ObamaCare
The Hill ^ | 4/4/19 | Matthew Sheffield

Few Americans believe their health care situation has been improved by key components of the 2010 Affordable Care Act (ACA), according to a Hill-HarrisX poll released Thursday.

Across party lines, most registered voters contacted for the March 30-31 survey said major provisions of former President Obama's signature health care law either had no real impact on them or had made things worse.

Obamacare ginned up Medicaid. Obamacare is a symptom of the complex US healthcare problem, and is not a solution to the problem.

That’s the wrong question for a pole. It should be have you been hurt by Obama Care.

Obamacare cost us about $50,000 so far.

Our Healthcare Premiums went from $800 a Month in December of 2013 to almost $2,100 a Month in 2018. Still waiting for that $2,500 Yearly Check Obama promised to show up in the Mail.

I may not have much support saying this here, and I won't write more on this. Because I have been warned by Jim Thompson to not make a big deal of this. So I won't. But Obamacare was the one thing Obama đi, that I really agreed with. Now as I said, I will be quiet. :)

Obama promised you that your premiums would drop from 800 to below 600. He also forgot to tell you about the high deductibles. I would pay a co-payment for a doctors visit, then get a bill for the rest a few weeks later. So co-payments are now down-payments. My father left my mother with good insurance for life from his job. She went into the hospital in 2012, she received a bill. She told me she had never received a bill like this before. I told her:”you voted for him”.

The major flaw of ObamaCare was mandating that everyone must sign up for Cadillac coverage. Men were being covered for everything from pap smears to sex reassignment surgery. The plan *might* have worked if it only covered very common health care needs and allowed customers to tailor coverage to things they believed they might need coverage for. If I’m not gay, why should I need coverage for HIV/AIDS?

Washington idiots insisted on one-size-fits-all coverage.

Of course, the plan was for ObamaCare to fail so the Democrats could come back with the “fix” of single-payer universal health coverage.

Obamacare was/is disastrous except for the freeloaders and those that made themselves exempt from it. CONgress can you hear me.

“If I’m not gay, why should I need coverage for HIV/AIDS?”

If you have sex or exchange bodily fluids with another human being (your spouse or significant other or even some other primates) you can get infected.

Happens...seen patients many who do not know that their spouse is infected or they, themselves are infected until they are hospitalized.

Obamacare is a tax, pure and simple. It is designed to take money out of people’s pockets and give it to the government or big business, who then in turn give it to government through corporate taxes.

My son’s insurance went from $167/month to $665. Deductibles went from about $1,500 to $6,000. Although he visits a doctor about every three months, his insurance never covered a thing. I really wondered why I was bothering to keep paying for this expensive and useless plan.

Since Trump has been pushing back on forced Obamacare, we have been able to get a $353 premium plan. Still expensive, but not as bad.

The problem with leaving ObamaCare on the books while reducing the penalty to $0 is that it still prohibits cheap, limited plans that leave out parts you wouldn’t want and/or need. Cheap insurance is still illegal under this law.

Americans had plenty of warning before the law passed, and a couple of ominous signs afterwards. First, it wouldn’t kick in until after Otoken had run for his second term; second, the name was shortened in the public discourse. The original name of this law was “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” - and now it is either “Affordable Care Act” or “ObamaCare”.

And the flip side, ask physicians and providers how much O'Bummer has helped their practice and their ability to serve the public.

That racist America hating imposter has done irreparable harm to America. We'll never recover.

Always remember:

If Democrats promise you something, they won’t deliver on it.
If Democrats say it will be at a lower cost or free, it won’t.
If Democrats say they are going to tax the rich, that includes everyone not on welfare.
If Democrats say something will be completed in a year, ask them which year.
If Democrats say you are a homophobe, sexist, racist, more than likely they have a picture of themselves in blackface.

I am not sure that is completely accurate. Some states like Illinois limited the duration of catastrophic plans to force people into Obamacare after the penalty went to zero.

And the freeloaders mostly just went onto Medicaid, which was available without Obamacare (except for our <26 year old kids).
