When will House Speaker Cortez tell back-bencher Representative Pelosi to get on board the impeachment train?

He was not DJT’s personal attorney.

Privilege is much more limited.

I get what you’re saying. There were (and still are) Republican sympathizers and enablers. But the key players were all Dems and, if what Sara Carter says is true, they are already turning on each other.

The cabal’s nefarious activities were originated and executed mainly by Democrat operatives. The scope and brazenness of their plot will overshadow any Republican participants in my opinion.

The president did not invoke executive privilege over this matter. Of course, he wanted Mueller fired. What sane man wouldn’t? He did nothing to warrant the investigation. All he did was run for president. And the party in power abused their offices in order to spy on their opponentS. They worked with foreign governments and continue to work against the people of this country.

The Dems pursuing impeachment will virtually guarantee a second term.

It is all playing out as well as Q said it would.

Trying to find any “technicality” to impeach the president over.

Too little, too late. The hammer is about to fall .... BOOM!

".... wouldn’t any conversation between McGahn and PDJT be protected as attorney client privilege?..."

It should be and I think McGahn violated that ethical code.

The fact the Trump wanted to stop the Mueller investigation and the fact that he didn't actually do anything to bring that about except talk about it, is the key here.

Trump may have wanted Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller out of the picture but he never took any overt action to make that happen.

No obstruction if he just talked about it but didn't take any action.

The one guy he did fire, Comey, was recommended to be canned in a letter from none other than Rosenstein himself.

Much to do about nothing.

Thank you for answering my question. I wasn’t sure about White House Counsel as to whether they would fall under attorney client privilege or not.

“level of ‘culpability” Is the key to the issue.

Too many attorneys getting this obstruction issue muddled up. Lemmee splain.

Mueller did not find an underlying crime in the collusion/conspiracy allegation.

That means that Trump’s push back, complaints, that is, any effort to derail the investigation must have a motive that is not corrupt.

However, if you are trying to cover up a crime or derail an investigation that discovers a crime....... Then you have obstruction.

The press and all the analysts are not being clear about that.

Now the House can try to vote to impeach for “high crimes and misdemeanors”.

Nadler can’t create a crime. Pelosi isn’t going to waste the House’s time on abstruse legal theories without cooperation from a Federal prosecutor.

At the beginning of this week, I signed up for a monthly donation to Trump. It’s the first time I’ve ever given to any candidate. 95% of his fundraising is less than $200 donations, and a large fraction are $5. Normal Americans are sick to death of this endless crap by these unAmerican bastards.

The report looks like a tasty tidbit to the Democrats but it contains a hook that they may have trouble spitting out if they use it to impeach.

It looks entirely possible that they may want to back out of impeachment if the inspector general’s report results in indictments for falsely starting the whole thing.

There are rumblings that it may happen.
