U.S. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler on Monday subpoenaed former White House counsel Don McGahn to testify before the panel in its investigation of possible obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.

In a statement, Nadler said the committee had asked for documents from McGahn by May 7 and for him to testify on May 21. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report said Trump asked McGahn to fire Mueller.

“Mr. McGahn is a critical witness to many of the alleged instances of obstruction of justice and other misconduct described in the Mueller report,” Nadler said.

An attorney for McGahn was not immediately available for comment.

No crime, no obstruction doesn’t seem to resonate

Donald thinks out loud. He wan't commanding, he was asking his council...can I solve this dilemma this way? That's what council does.

If it didn't happen...then all conversations are merely sidebars.

I have no recollection of that.

I have no memory of that.

It’s not in my recollection.

It’s not a memory of mine.

I watched a few minutes of cnn today. They are completely unhinged.

They were ranting about Don Jr. because he did not provide testimony for mueller. They demanded he be brought before Congress to testify.

They maybe forgot that he already spent 23 hours in front of a Congressional committee.

Given that he waived it for Mueller, I don’t know that he can invoke it now.

We need to find a legal way to strike back at Nadler. For example, what would a well funded deep investigation of his activities and background reveal? Same thing to his family and associates. He should be treated like Mueller treated President Trump.

A subpoena from a Democrat is like a t*rd calling from your outhouse.

And should be treated in the same manner.

Your time is up, low-T progressive loser McGahn. Go back to the septic tank from which you slithered.

We’ll remember to flush twice next time.

Given that he waived it for Mueller, I don’t know that he can invoke it now.

He waived it for the Special Council appointed internally by the DoJ in a counter-intelligence investigation.

What we're talking about now is separation of powers. White House Council doesn't testify about presidential conversations to Congress.

I think McGahn was a deep state plant into the Trump administration. He’s not to be trusted. This is to spill dirt that won’t be confronted because Nadler and his fellow twits will be asking the questions.
