Leish is not transmitted person to person, but requires the fly for transmission. Since there are no sand flies in Sweden, there will be no epidemic. All of the cases are in invaders.

Perhaps sandflies will be imported also as part of a fuanal diversity program to make the muzzards feel more at home.
Every vacation to Honduras with my family was always tainted by the damn sand flies. Fortunately not the type as in this article......at least I hope. I’d rather get stung by a yellow jacket than bitten by a swarm of those flies....
