Rebellion is Bursting out All Over
Am Thinker ^ | May 12, 2019 | Clarice Feldman

As Spygate proceeds to its certain conclusion -- the trials of those who engaged in this scandalous coup attempt -- we receive the details of the scheme only in dribs and drabs. Too many were involved and have too much to lose at this point by not revealing to the investigators their role in exchange for more lenient treatment, which is why I believe all will soon be revealed.

So for the moment let’s turn to the broader picture that explains in large part why so many officials were so determined to keep Donald Trump from the White House and to oust him once he won the election.

To me, it has seemed they are clinging to the privileges and benefits of an order which is dying because its underpinnings -- the post-World War II order -- no longer suit the citizens of the countries involved, or the changing world.

In this respect, I was much taken by this article in the Claremont Review by Christopher Caldwell.

The subject of this essay is Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán, who famously closed his country’s borders to hordes of migrants from Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. I urge you to read the entire article, which I can only selectively discuss. As Caldwell explains, Hungary has been a member of the European Union since 2004 and his political party was closely aligned with Angela Merkel’s. Remembering Hungary’s history and intellectual curiosity, Orban rejected the policies of the E.U. on migration.

The only way there will be prosecutions is if they can figure out a way to shield the Kenyan from Indonesia.

No way is the “first black President” going to prison.

Even though he was never eligible.

I believe some have already come forward and are talking. From my perspective, a political earthquake is coming.

You’re right, they probably will never indict the Kenyan for anything. But they can rip open this can of worms and utterly shred his legacy to the point where he will have to leave the U.S. and accept being the most despised president in history.

Why not?

On November 13, 2009, William Jefferson was sentenced to thirteen years in federal prison for bribery after a corruption investigation. He was elected as the state’s first black congressman since the end of Reconstruction.

Obama was the worst president in recent history and he was eligible to be the US prez. His mom was a natural born citizen and that is all it took. Doesn’t matter where he was born. In the 2016 election we saw a greater challenge to the “natural born citizen” requirement. Cruz’s mom is American, dad was Cuban and he was born in Canada. He was fine. Jindal and Rubio were the question marks of the candidates; both born in US, both had foreign parents. Even John McCain by your standards should have been dq’ed. He was born in Panama. I think we have conflated the birthright issue with the natural born issue which creates the confusion. Remember it was Hillary who was the first birther. Her and many others, I believe, have this wrong.

“..Despite pressure from the EU, he refused to open his borders to immigrants from Africa and the Arab world, foreseeing that otherwise Hungary’s patrimony — a Christian ethos — would be lost.....”

Hungary has an interesting and ancient History. It is the modern home of the Huns! They were the nomadic warrior horsemen who terrorized the Chinese and when finally driven out of China sacked the Roman Empire.

They understand about cultural invasions.

“His mom was a natural born citizen and that is all it took. Doesn’t matter where he was born”

Bunk. He was a dual national by Jus Sanguinis and then was alienated when adopted by Soetoro.

My grandfather was a Vice Consul in Scotland when he sent my grandmother - a British national - to his home in the Midwest to have my mother. His main job was approving visas and he understood nationality in detail. He took no chances: Mom was born on US soil to a naturalized mother and native born American. No bridge paperwork needed.

Soetoro was in no way “natural born”. Dual nationals have a hell of a time getting Top Secret and especially higher clearances because their loyalty has to be established. If Barry Soetoro had applied to work at NRO or NSA or even a nice place like CIA he would have needed years to get his clearance. He made the intelligent decision of bypassing all that and simply outranking the people who would have sensibly denied him.

Soetoro was illegitimate as a President even assuming he was born in Honolulu. It should never happen again.

No fan of McCain by any means, but his parents resided in the Canal Zone, then U.S. territory, at the time of his birth. The actual birth took place in a Panamanian hospital just outside U.S. territory. This was probably out of medical necessity. But his case is far less egregious than those of Ted Cruz, born in Canada or George Romney, Mitt’s dad, born in Mexico.
