Moments ago Judiciary Committee ranking member Doug Collins released the transcripts of nine key figures from the House investigation into DOJ and FBI political activity.
The transcript release includes testimony from:
Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.
Former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
James Comey former chief-of-staff James Rybicki.
Former FBI lawyer, Office of Legal Counsel, Trisha Beth Anderson.
Deputy Asst. Attorney General (DOJ-NSD), George Toscas.
FBI Deputy Asst. Director, Jonathan Moffa.
Former FBI Executive Assistant Director of the National Security Branch, John Giaclone.
FBI Unit Chief, Office of Legal Counsel, Sally Moyer.
FBI New York Field Office, Assistant Director in Charge, William F. Sweeney Jr.

McCabe’s testimony starting on p. 71 has some important discussion about the Clinton/Lynch tarmac meeting and how that affected Lynch’s decision to punt the decision-making process in the Clinton investigation from DOJ to FBI, following up a discussion about how this was totally irregular and unprecedented on Comey’s part—talking about grandchildren, indeed.
P. 72 of McCabe’s testimony: “Can you reconcile for me how the language in this memo, the very specific language about Hillary Clinton not acting intentionally but only acting carelessly, or being careless with respect to the handling of classified information, and that she didn’t intend to harm our national security, the language in here, in this May 2nd memo, is exactly the same language that President Obama used publicly a month before, on April the 10th?”
Mr. Johnson of Georgia. Did Director Comey have authority from DOJ to conduct his July 5th press conference and announce the findings of the FBI investigation?
Mr. McCabe. He did not.
Mr. Johnson of Georgia. Why was that?
Mr. McCabe. Director Comey made the decision to make that statement without clearing it with the Department of Justice first.
Mr. Krishnamoorthi. And that was because they were politically affiliated with Hillary Clinton, correct?
Mr. McCabe. Director Comey did not want anyone to be able to say that the Department in any way affected how we felt about the case and how we assessed the case. He very much wanted that statement to stand as the FBI's perspective on what we did and what we learned. And that would, of course, be the foundation of our recommendation to the Department of Justice.
They’re referring to the FISA records/transcripts.
Pres Trump has not released them as of yet.
These transcripts were from last year under the questioning of the Republicans when they were in charge of the house.

Chairman Gowdy. To the best of your recollection, when did this conversation between Director Comey and Attorney General Lynch take place.
Mr. McCabe. About the investigation?
Chairman Gowdy. Versus matter.
Mr. McCabe. I don't know, sir. I wasn't there for the conversation. I only heard what Director Comey related to me some time later. My assumption is that that conversation took place before I was involved in the case.
Chairman Gowdy. So it was your assumption that it predated February.
Mr. McCabe. That is my assumption today, yes.
Chairman Goodlatte. It is a letter to me from , dated December 12, 2017. Specifically, I want you to look at page 43 of this document. On August 15, 2016, less than 3 months before the Presidential election FBI agent Peter Strzok sent the following text message to FBI lawyer Lisa Page, quote: I want to believe the path you threw out for getting for consideration in Andy's office that there is no way he gets elected, but I'm afraid we can't take that risk. It is like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40. And it continues. Do you see that?
Mr. McCabe. I do.
Chairman Goodlatte. Okay. Besides Strzok and Page, who was at the meeting in your office?
Mr. McCabe. I don't know, sir.
Chairman Goodlatte. Do you recall this meeting?
Mr. McCabe. I do not.

And Collins may not have released the one I am looking for, or the part I want might be redacted. GP says it will release 2 transcripts per day.
I was talking about its use in the intel “assessment” from 17, er, 5, er, 3 agencies.
Maybe Collins, by releasing these transcripts, is in effect keeping Trump’s promise to release the incriminating documents, without adding another target to Trump’s back.
