I haven’t heard her at all so I don’t know what her views are but she’s sure getting a work over today. Probably for good reason. You would have to hogtie me to a chair to watch any of those weirdos in a debate. I tuned in for about 5 minutes last night - saw the jerk from TX speaking Spanish and Warren and what’s his name staring at him like he was some kind of weirdo - wonder how they would know!
Agreed. Tulsi is a strong candidate.
TULSI GABBARD ON THE ISSUES ( Tell us if you can vote for her ):
* Supports same-sex marriage.
* Believes abortion is an unrestricted right for women
* Opposes repealing Obamacare
* Supports higher taxes on the wealthy and higher taxes overall ( especially corporate and income taxes ).
* Supports reduced defense spending.
* Tax incentives for wind, solar, biomass and wave energy; strong regulation of greenhouse gas emissions.
* Supports Federal stimulus spending.
* Supports $25B more loans from Export-Import Bank
Never would vote her. Never voted for Obama either but when he spoke at the 2004 DNC convention on behalf of John Kerry, I thought I was looking at a future president due to his talent and charisma.
If Obama could win so can Tulsi based on the exact same qualities.
Maybe not this go around though. Sigh. Who knows.
That’s what I keep telling people — DO NOT VOTE ON LOOKS, STYLE, OR ORATORY. VOTE BASE ON RECORD AND THEIR STANCE ON ISSUES.
Unfortunately, a huge segment of America vote as if this was an American Idol contest....
That is the nature of our media age. It’s how Kennedy beat Nixon. He was better looking on TV ...even though over the radio, most people thought Nixon had better ideas.
Of course: people like Tulsi are attractive faces to horrendously deceptive, harmful, and outright anti-Christian agendas. But I will admit that although I was too young to enlist at the time of 9/11...I don’t think I would have willingly volunteered to join the military the way she did even if I was of age... And to serve in a medical unit at that. So I will at least hand her credit where it’s due.
Unfortunately I could also see how easily this can be used a shtick to discount people simply for never having been in the military.
I doubt she’ll have the same “fever”.
Wouldn’t surprise me if they pick Biden/Warren shoot even Biden/Hillary so they can help poor Hillary.
