The two Democratic presidential debates last week in Miami were marked by calls to remember Floridas Parkland High School shooting, which occurred only 50 miles away from where the debate took place. The Democrats agreed on two solutions to stop these attacks: impose background checks on private transfers of guns, and ban military-style weapons of war.

the D party machine bosses want more “gun control” because no serious dictatorship can be imposed if the citizenry remains able to defend ourselves
Like FR poster Skydancer says (paraphrased) ‘We shouldn’t listen to gun control advocates that say it’s ok to murder babies’
It’s much easier to subjugate an unarmed population. The billionaires who want absolute power (George Soros simply being the best known) are using the DNC to achieve this. Democrats are just their useful idiots.
I'd say I agree if you added "... when they come to put us in camps"
***and ban military-style weapons of war.***
And the constant anti-gun lie was that what ever laws were passed, “Rifles will not be affected!”
Remember 1968, when Robert Kennedy was murdered. The most hated firearms were the “Saturday Night Special” and the 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifle.
The 1968 gun control law banned the import of small foreign pistols and banned the import of army surplus rifles.
The same rifle, off the same assembly line, bearing the same markings, were still allowed to be imported IF it was issued to the police of that nation. It was “military” designation that was bad.
Miller was not badly decided but lower courts have been lying about it ever since.

They LOVE guns. They just want to be in control of them.
That's why the solutions they pose have nothing to do with the events that trigger them. Mass shooting? Universal background checks, even if the guns used were lawfully obtained.
It won't fix the problem so another law will be needed.
