If you want to sell this guy as someone who will make a difference, compare him to someone who made a difference, instead of some Bantam Rooster who always let the fish off the hook in Congress

Time to turn big tech into utilities. FB GOOGLE, Instagream and all other communication platforms need to be regulated as utitilites We can censor at the USER LEVEL.

"It would have been preferable if Hawley had let the guy finish."

I agree. I wanted to hear what he had to say.

And I think he missed the major point: that Google has the technology to sensor videos of children at risk, but are somehow unable to inject political censorship into their algorithms. Instead, he just bullied the guy.

Senator Hawley needs to write a manual and call it “How to Hand Someone His Own Ass - In a Basket and Giftwrapped”

Yeah, I get the distinct impression that this guy, Senator Hawley, is NOT posturing at all. He is, as they say, as serious as a heart attack and will take no prisoners.

Thank you Missouri!

Don’t know how that guy could say with a straight face; “Google is a trusted brand”.

Gee, let me go as Alexa if google is a trusted brand

You clearly don’t understand how congressional testimony works. Each member has a time limit; member asks a yes or no question; witness blathers on and, in this case, lies his ass off, hoping he won’t get interrupted by member; time expires; member is cut off by chairman; questioning over. This is exactly how witnesses - particularly those who’d rather take an ass-whipping than testify - deal with confrontational questions.

It is abundantly clear what Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. are doing. You may like to listen to people like Pichai, Dorsey, Zuckerberg, etc. lie their asses off. Most of us don’t.

The guy was plainly filibustering trying to eat up all the time with blather.

Question: will you submit to an independent 3rd party audit of your content moderation practices?

The straight answer would have been “yes” or “no”

Instead he went with “Google is a trusted company that looks to meet its customers’ needs and provide the best search possible and hey look over here! A British globalist news mag who are not auditors looked us over and said everything was hunky dory and we’re just such good guys who would never be biased and that’s against our bylaws and our company values and.......

Notice what you did not hear? “Yes” or “No”.

Of course the answer as we all know is “No”.

Senator Harley was right to call him on it. If anything, he should’ve cut the weaseling windbag off earlier.

Gowdy wasn’t a prosecutor while in congress. Can you imagine Pelosi or Waters with the same power?

Can you imagine Pelosi of Waters publicly telling the kenyan to “act innocent if he is”??? Not in a billion years.

Yet Deep State Gowdy said just that POTUS as he and his supporters were under treasonous assault from the Mueller Coup.

Gwwdy said he wanted to get out of politics. Now he can’t stop running his mouth on Fox to no effect. It’s like he never left Congress.
