Exactly. So on large screens those small images come out HUGE and look like spam on FR.

“Your image is 1100 pixels wide which is too wide for FR.”

Not for people with normal sized monitors.

***Will you have to evacuate? Or do you think you are in a safe enough zone and prepared enough to ride it out?***

We have never had to in this particular area... no real water danger present. There was flooding from Irma last year just east of here... sort of historically a flood area. But here we are fairly high above lakes {water level}. Wind {tree damage} and loss of electricity is the greatest threat in this neighborhood.

We stocked up on non-perishable food, filled the auto gas tanks, stored about 150 gallons of water, stocked up on batteries, battery-operated TV - all that sort of thing. I have the solar tower and storage batteries and 2 1500 watt sine wave inverters - enough for some basic needs - fans, charge phone, radio ... that sort of thing.

And, of course, the Grace of God. We are basic preppers - but due to many distractions there were things I wish I had gotten to this Spring. Thanks for your concerns.

Actually,. I’m a little tired of the 80% image crowd. Even small images are blasted across large screens. It seems those setting 80% are using small screen like phones and tablets.

1. Pay attention: What you consider oddball small screens like phones and tablets may be the only access folks have when their electricity is out due to a hurricane. Sometimes people from Colorado just need to think outside their little box head.

2. Review post #1.

3. Review post #1 again.

Outside of the past few days, there was no hurricane.

50% of people use mobile phones and/or tablets as their only source of internet access. Your large monitor is not the norm anymore. Get with the program or get off the thread, Colorado Toad.

HWRF just came in...It expects a landfall of a major hurricane in Central or North Florida. We'll know soon.

That model has always been an outlier. Most of the models (and the ones I consider most reliable such as the UK Met) still predict a northward jog keeping Dorian well off the FL coast.

“50% of people use mobile phones and/or tablets”

That doesn’t mean you screw it up for the the other 50%.
