Faculty demanded university boot Chick-fil-A. The administration gave it a better location instead.

If you thought LGBTQ activists in the University of Kansas faculty were mad before, wait till you see them now.
Following years of demands that the taxpayer-funded institution discriminate against a vendor because of its founders religious beliefs, the KU administration actually gave its Chick-fil-A restaurant a better place on campus, The Kansas City Star reports.
Before you assume this was a bold move in favor of viewpoint diversity and fair treatment, it actually fits your other stereotype of universities: that they do everything for financial reasons.
KUs 10-year contract with Chick-fil-A requires upgrades to its location in the basement of Wescoe Hall, where its been for 15 years, that would cost about $2.6 million more than simply moving it to the student union building, a higher-traffic area, a spokesperson told the newspaper.
...
Chick-fil-As bigoted opponents are falling further behind on Midwestern college campuses, according to the Star. The chain already has a presence at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and near Mizzous football stadium, and its sandwiches will be served for the first time at Kansas State home football games this season.

Actually, I am surprised that the administration cares about money when they could prove they are "woke".

Quite agree. We’ve seen too many universities make stupid financial decisions because of Left-wing meddling.
The only factors that should count are:
1.) Will this provide a service to the student body?
2.) Will it make money?

The Sexuality and Gender Diversity Faculty and Staff Council, whose office is near the new location for Chick-fil-A, objected to Chick-fil-A developments They're afraid the people working in their offiecs will eat Chick-Fil-A for lunch!

Here's a bold idea: Instead of unilaterally demanding that Chick-Fil-A be removed from campus, allow the
students to decide if they wish to eat there or not.
If Chick-Fil-A can't make enough to stay in business, they'll leave. if they can, then the people have spoken and the overly triggered vocal minority can STFU.
Why is it that "Coesist" is a one-way street with these people??

Interesting article. People in the Midwest are inclined to live and let live, but the increasingly shrill and mean spirited SJW rhetoric is wearing their welcome thin. Whatever sympathy and good will they may have had in the past is rapidly evaporating.

I've been to a Chick-fil-A once. I can't recall where. I ordered some kind of chicken sandwich and although I very much wanted to like it I must say I wasn't impressed. I'm not sure if there are any near me (I live in the very belly of the beast) but if there is I'm willing to try them again....trying something else.

Hopefully, Chick-fil-A will mount an exhaust fan to expel those wonderfully hot, juicy, fried chicken smells...directly out into the crowded student union.

the homosexual in the office said he would forever boycott CFA when the "controversy" broke years back.
Today, he eats there about three times a week.

I'm surprised. Although One of the finest Christians I've ever met graduated from Kansas, even he admits that KU is a haven for left-wing, flag-burning, gun-grabbing, God-mocking babykillers.

Their grilled chicken, egg white, cheese, on a whole wheat muffin is good in the morning.
For lunch their grilled chicken club is good with some of the roasted honey BBQ sauce on it.

The internet will give you an answer with just a little effort. Yup,I understand that. But given that I live in an area where Princess Liawatha is considered a reactionary running dog of corporations and the Koch Brothers I'm assuming there aren't any near me.

My dorm in law school was across the street from the stadium. The cafeteria food was decent, but on the cold side. The university solution? Multiple microwaves for reheating strategically placed throughout the cafeteria. (This was shortly before microwaves became ubiquitous, late '80s).
