I greatly dislike the fact that headlines are frequently NOT written by the article’s author. In this case, this headline leads the reader to think that a large, if perhaps all, of the faculty of Kansas University are participating in this protest. How costly would adding a modifier to this headline?

I think this is a gift to the administration, that when the opportunity presents itself, they should quietly dismiss these noisome faculty.
Having such people self-identify so that they can be tactfully eliminated from the faculty, for other reasons, is a great way to preserve the quality of a school.
They will always be pests, they will never improve the academic standing of the university, and they will always look for ways to radicalize the students and other faculty, as well as profit themselves at the expense of the school.
By purging them, the school will save itself a lot of time, effort, energy and money.
I live in Kansas and I would like this Kansas University torn down and the stones cast into the deepest part of the ocean.

Faculty and Staff Councils
The Faculty Staff Councils at KU are self-governing bodies.
The Office of Diversity lists their leadership here as a resource to our campus communities.
Instead of being afraid for the "safety and well-being" of those on campus because of the Chick-fil-A restaurant, I would be more concerned about the ignorance and stupidity of the professors teaching the students.
Are there no adults running these colleges nowadays?
One day, in a better country, we will be able to drag tyrants like these away in chains.
In regards Chick-Fil-A, the mental health issues suffered by the LGBT+ folks is from their own culture of hate, and the own inability to accept even *perceived* disagreement. There has been no sign that Chick-Fil-A as a corporation cares in the least that you are LGBT+.
I think it’s high time students started leaving educational institutions that suppress free speech, doing so with public announcement and clarity. This kind of crap is completely inconsistent with everything that made this country great. It is ignorant and anti-intellectual. It is tyrannical, and tyrants must not be trusted. Leave, and do so loudly, and demand refunds. This is a breach of implied contract. Sue the bastards if possible.

Patriots are reminded that, in stark contrast to the rights that the Founding States expressly protected when they amended the Bill of Rights to the Constitution, the states have never amended the Constitution to protect politically correct LGBT rights.
But in this post-17th Amendment era where activist judges and justices are wrongly legislating politically correct LGBT rights from the bench, its not surprising that public university professors seem to be clueless about the following.
As state actors, by abridging rights that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect, 1st Amendment-protected freedom of religious expression and freedom of speech in this example, faculty are violating the 14th Amendment (14A) which expressly prohibits such actions.
From the 14th Amendment:
"Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
"Section 5: The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."
Regarding 14A protections, patriots who value their 1st Amendment-protected freedoms of religious expression and free speech please note that that Acts 22:25-29 shows that Apostle Paul claimed his Roman citizenship to get out of a flogging.
In fact, note that UC Berkeley lost a 14A-related case awhile back.

A possible problem with the Berkeley settlement is that taxpayers probably paid it.

Regardless of 14A protections, we're still stuck with a corrupt Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration that will predictably not lift a finger to put bills that discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections on PDJT's desk.
The remedy for constitutionally failed federal and state governments
Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJT's vision for MAGA, now KAG, but will also do the following.
The new patriot Congress also needs to start exercising its express 14A powers to make laws to discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated rights, misguided university faculty discrimination against Chick-fil-A in this example.
And to make such changes permanent, patriots also need to support PDJT in leading the states to repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.
