Rudy Giuliani:Trump Is Being "Framed," Document Shows Ukrainian Prosecutor Saying Under Oath...

Sunday on ABC's "This Week With George Stephanopoulos," President Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani produced a copy of a sworn witness statement from the Ukrainian prosecutor at the center of this week's impeachment inquiry: Viktor Shokin. Shokin claims that he was forced out of office as Ukraine's top prosecutor because he was leading a "wide-ranging corruption probe" into an energy company that was paying Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, $50,000 per month to sit on its board.

The affidavit was uploaded six months ago by "The Hill" columnist John Solomon and was reportedly produced as part of an ongoing criminal case in Austria.

"Why is this less credible than the whistleblower when this is direct knowledge and the whistleblower is hearsay?" Giuliani asked in the ABC interview.

Shokin alleges that he was "staunchly politically unaffiliated" and that then-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko ordered him to resign due to pressure from Joe Biden who was threatening to withhold $1 billion in subsidies to Ukraine "until I was removed from office."

Shokin says: "The truth is that I was forced out because I was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into Burisma Holdings…a natural gas firm active in Ukraine. Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was a member of the Board of Directors. I presume Burisma, which was connected with gas extraction, had the support of the US Vice President Joe Biden because his son was on the Board of Directors."

The Biden campaign responded later Sunday afternoon with a letter to TV networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and Fox News to "demand" that Rudy Giuliani no longer be allowed on the air.

“As long as no one is punished Democrats won’t stop.”

One way to punish them is at the ballot box.

I’m sure it a very nice article but since it requires a membership the only thing I was able to read was the headline. The only problem is, it would have been written after Sheriff Joe ordered them to fire the guy so we don’t really know if that was after the fact justification for actions taken. It really doesn’t matter anyway because we have no business interfearing with the internals of another country.

The whistleblower is claiming that his/her/it life is being threatened. Since no-one knows his/her/it name, how could his/her/it be threatened?

Gee, I don't know. Maybe people are saying: "If I ever find out who that whistleblower is I'll kill them and their family." That would be a threat against their life.

You don't vote for members of the FBI, CIA, DNI, etc. As for the congresscritters? +/-95% are in safe districts.

...FBI has been trying to frame Trump since Summer of 2016...

I'm confident they had plans 'A' thru 'D', probably more, already decided on.

And even if we do win at the ballot box - it better be by at least a small landslide or they will be conjuring up votes found in trunks right and left.

Absolutely true, and I'm not saying it's the only solution, but it is part of the solution. To deal with any of the entrenched slime in government and government agencies you need to have a reasonable Supreme Court, and reasonable federal judges - all of which at his point in our history require a Republican/conservative/patriotic President. That's a minimum if you want to clean up government and hold people accountable without everything falling into chaos and potentially violence. It will, however, require a lot more than that. It's a bit like a metastatic cancer in which the primary tumor gets resected, and the rest gets treated with a systemic therapy.

"How do you threaten a ghost?"

You have to ask CNN and the Democrats.

“into an energy company that was paying Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, $50,000 per month to sit on its board.”

How many Board meetings did Hunter attend?

Who was his translator?

Where are the Minutes of those meetings?

It’s September 4th, 2019, and right at the top of page 12.

The document could not have been uploaded six months ago. Maybe the author was thinking of a different document.
