San Francisco Mayor London Breed: “Pretty Shocked” Over Campaign Attack Billboard

San Francisco’s mayoral campaign took an ugly turn over the weekend that left several community leaders outraged and the incumbent London Breed “shocked” by a personal attack displayed on a billboard in the city’s South of Market neighborhood.

The billboard in San Francisco’s SoMa district depicts Mayor London Breed in a red dress and heels with her feet up, holding a cigar in one hand and a stack of money in the other. The message “Stop slavery and human trafficing [sic] in SF” is visible.

Shown in a thought bubble coming from the woman are lines of individuals with numbers tagged around their necks. A man in a suit is also seen carrying away a young girl holding a teddy bear–the man is holding a stack of money as well.

It was sponsored by the Ellen Lee Zhou For Mayor campaign.

“I think the billboard speaks for itself,” Breed told reporters Monday. “It’s unfortunate that it has come to this point … There are ways the policy decisions I make can be criticized without making things, sadly personal. Unfortunately, it is what it is, at this point.”

A left-wing Democrat getting the vapors over a "personal attack."

Talk about irony.

That billboard is the very definition of “speaking truth to power” and it will resonate.

I most definitely do not keep up with San Francisco politics. What did the Mayor do that would promote human trafficking?

I don’t know in her case..

But if one thinks about it, being a “sanctuary city” certainly encourages the trafficing in illegals - particularly minors.

So unless her opponent intends to end the sanctuary city status and cooperate with ICE (if elected), then she also will be participating in human trafficing.

As the Thai say, Same same, but different.

“I think the billboard speaks for itself,” Breed told reporters Monday.

“I got contacted by a lot of people who were really upset and hurt and outraged"

Breed said her current focus was “to run the city and to not get caught up and provide more attention to this than it’s worth.”

" San Francisco leaders stood shoulder-to-shoulder and condemned the billboard, calling it a “vile and reprehensible political ad that is invoking racist, misogynistic and sexist perspectives.”"

Interesting how everyone is hurt / upset / outraged / vile and reprehensible political ad, etc etc, but not one mention of it NOT being accurate.

My first thought as well....no one asking if it’s correct or not AT ALL.

If you want to enrage a conservative, tell him a lie.
If you want to enrage a liberal, tell him the truth.

What did mayor do?

Evidently it is an open problem there and the mayor did get a grant. maybe this is enforcing some accountability with the grant?

Ha ha, she banned styrofoam in SF. Leave it to a lib to concentrate on that which is totally irrelevant.
Meantime thousands of people are pooping in the streets.

A sanctuary city is a city with cartel money in it. They’re human trafficking hubs

Was just in CA for a corporate event. The paper straws are an annoyance for sure, and a reminder that CA government spends an inordinate amount of time on the uselessly symbolic, while the ongoing homeless problem and power blackouts show they have not well handled real issues.

Oakland California is one of those places that would enjoy a sharp rise in property values if nuked.
