Bunch of "whereas" followed by:

Resolved, That the Senate--

(1) calls on the House of Representatives, prior to proceeding any further with its impeachment in- vestigation into President Trump, to vote to initiate a formal impeachment inquiry;

(2) calls on the House of Representatives to provide President Trump, like every other American, with due process, to include the ability to confront his accusers, call witnesses on his behalf, and have a basic understanding of the accusations against him that would form any basis for impeachment; and

(3) calls on the House of Representatives to provide members of the minority with the ability to participate fully in all proceedings and have equal authority to issue subpoenas and other compulsory process.

This is good. Some preemptive planning on the part of Senate Repubs.

Talk, talk, talk.
Yesterday, key members of Congress took action on the part of the American People.
Graham said it was a crazy idea.

Something else the Senate ought to do now:

Hold a preliminary vote now on declining to remove the President if/when the morons in the House do impeach him after their secret closed door hearings are concluded.

Send a clear message their Schiff for brains tactics won’t go anywhere.

While it’s good politics, so sorely needed from the feckless Republicans, it IS an effort by the Senate to push THEIR responsibilities down to the House.

Yes, I hope he gets enough votes for it. But he probably wouldn’t propose it if he weren’t pretty sure.

The important number is 19 (Romney is gone).

Are there 19 Republicans who did not endorse this? If so, Karen can start ordering new curtains.

Glad they’re doing this. Here’s the problem with the vote....even if they vote, the whole house doesn’t know all the facts of the “secret” inquisition. How can they vote?

What will Linda say when it is proven that the whole thing was a setup from day one and Pencil Neck and His Staff orchestrated the entire thing???

Seditious Conspiracy to Overthrow the United States Government.

If there is one thing senators are good at it’s useless gestures.

It’s way past time the GOP got off their asses and defended our President against the rabid progressive parasites.

In defense of Graham even though I detest the litle mole, but he walked back his criticism claiming he thought they had been pounding on doors and making forced entry. In fact they walked in peacefully, and caused less disruption than the typical DEM-organized sit-in.
@LindseyGrahamSC

CORRECTION:

I was initially told House GOP took the SCIF by force - basically like a GOP version of Occupy Wall Street.

Apparently it was a peaceful protest. Big difference.

I understand their frustration and they have good reason to be upset.
