When people want their country turned around all it takes is someone who wants to do that these days. Trump set the standard and the world saw it all..

Nicola Sturgeon won’t admit this, but a big part of the SNPs gains are due to Scottish concerns about Jeremy Corbyn. They lean left up there, but not that left.

Labour’s leadership selection process provides activist and unions outsized influence. They went hard left, but a sizable portion of rank and Ike Labour voters did not, and the party is now suffering the consequences.

It is good in different ways

For England and Wales, they get the hard Brexit they wanted

For Scotland, having yet again a government in Westminster that they didn’t want, coupled with a Brexit they don’t want will strengthen the hands of the nationalists even more. This is exactly the result that Nicola Sturgeon and the Scottish Nationalists wanted?

For northern Ireland, the DUP lost two seats and now have zero influence in Westminster. The Boris deal leaves northern Ireland in the EU customs union and makes reunification in the next 5 years more likely than ever.

So it is good for the 4 nations that make up the union.

The Scots want independence. They in general loathe the Tories, so this win makes them more pro independence.

The Scottish nationalist party got the result it wanted

Northern Ireland voted 56% to remain in the 6and that number has increased.

The pro Brexit DUP has lost two seats and there is a slim majority for reunification with the Republic.

As per boris deal, ni remains part of the EU customs union, and the customs border is in the Irish sea. This makes Irish reunification by 2025 much much more likely.

Smith, the Tories are on the side of little England, not necessarily the same “side” as the USA. They have their own interests to keep at the forefront

Technically “the UK “ includes Scotland (for now) so it was a joint effort. Just as the various EU developments in the UK are joint work

Absolute nonsense.

It’s the truth. More northern Irish want unification with the Republic and out of the union now than ever before.

Thanks to Brexit, a United Ireland is more likely in our lifetimes

I don’t think Boris cares. He would be happy with Little England. The UK may be history but England will endure.

You are correct on both counts

He probably doesn’t care. With the Scots gone, a bug thorn is removed from his side

And yes, England will endure

So, Scotland declares independence and Ireland is reunited.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland is now IONA (Islands of the North Atlantic).

What changes?

The SNP only has 45% of the vote. So they have seats, but not a majority for independence.

The next Scottish Parliament elections are due in May of 2021.
