Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley laid out a sweeping indictment of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., arguing that her impeachment strategy backfired and gave Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., the upper hand.
"The delay now seems largely driven by a desire to preserve the image of Pelosi as a master strategist despite a blunder of the first order," Turley wrote in a column titled, "Pelosi's Blunder: How the House Destroyed its Own Case for Impeachment."
His comments came as Pelosi prepared to transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate, roughly a month after the House approved them. She initially withheld them in an apparent attempt to draw concessions from McConnell. On Wednesday she announced the seven lawmakers who will serve as impeachment managers to prosecute the case against the president at his Senate trial.

7 prosecutors, but only 1 fact witness whose testimony exonerated the President.
I suspect this means 7 speaches, 7 regurgitations of hearsay and baseless speculations.
Trying to get the Senate to heel was stupid. House managers face an almost impossible task trying to get senators to listen to them with sympathy.
In the upper house, they don’t like upstart House members telling them what to do.
They don’t have a case. This is why they sat on it for a month.
It’s a dirty impeachment.
Put the impeachment papers in a box, and bury it.
As Jonathan Turkey, this was a rushed, botched and incomplete job.
The Democrat impeachment didn’t even charge Trump with committing crimes.
And the burden of proof isn’t on the President but on the House managers seeking his removal.
That’s a very high bar for them to meet.
Bluster of the first order to cover a double nothing burger.
Spread them over the surface of the aisles in the Senate for all to walk over, coming and going.
As both you and Turley are saying her biggest mistake was trying to strong arm McConnell. McConnell and many other senators will want to bury Pelozi in a shallow grave for attempting to assert control of the Senate.
And that’s just one of many stupid mistakes.
Wrap them around some dog turds. Set those assemblies on fire outside the door to Nazi’s office and ring the bell...

You have a good point. But if you dove into the whole thing....there’s a list of 200 screw-ups or mistakes made by the House Democrats...that made this a lose-lose type situation. Legal minds will still be talking about this...a hundred years into the future.
Oddly enough, this week, Avenetti (the lawyer for Stormy Daniels) was arrested by IRS agents, and his whole spectacle is dissolving away. All of this theatrical stuff never went anywhere.
If they bring up Russia-election-meddling again in this trial the Trump team should demand Christopher Steele as a witness. And Horowitz to reiterate his finding that the “Steele Dossier” was bogus and the FBI agents who knew it was bogus and ... so on and so forth.
Maybe Steel should be brought up, but he’s a UK citizen, and the subpoena has zero power over him.
Some people suggest that even Joe Biden might have the power to avoid a subpoena to appear. Hunter Biden...I would speculate...will be leaving for a foreign country in the next week and probably try to avoid the subpoena via that method.
Why waste good fuel? Use the papers to burn Pelosi, Nadler, and Schiffless at the stake. Pay per view, use the money to build the wall. They've already wasted MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars.
print the articles of impeachment on rolls of toilet paper then distribute them to all u.s. capitol restrooms...

I searched for quite a while last night to find out what power Congressional subpoenas have and what consequences there are for ignoring them. Couldn’t find a definite answer. As far as I could tell Congress can’t do squat if you ignore their subpoenas.
I agree, they won’t be able to touch the Bidens, or the Whistlesucker.
It makes no difference. Here’s how it will play out.
The end result is Trump will not be removed or charged with any counts.
Pelosi and the rest will impeach him again. On bs type charges all over again.
And the senate will docthe same thing again.
And she may do it a third time if they have enough time before the election.
It will really seal the demtard alinskyites fates for 2020.
