Democrats kill GOP-backed resolution to rebuke Nancy Pelosi for ripping up SOTU speech

House Democrats voted Thursday to kill a Republican resolution that would have formally chastised House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for tearing up a copy of President Donald Trump's State of the Union speech Tuesday night. The measure was introduced by Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas) Wednesday and formally disapproves of Pelosi's move to rip up the speech, saying that the speaker's actions were "a breach of decorum and degraded the proceedings of the joint session, to the discredit of the House."

Since the resolution was introduced as privileged under House rules, Granger was able to force the chamber to consider it Thursday afternoon. After the resolution was brought up, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) moved to table the matter, a parliamentary move used to kill an issue.

The motion to table was agreed to by a party-line vote of 224-193, with all Democrats and lone independent Rep. Justin Amash (Mich.) voting in favor; all Republicans opposed the motion.

And her “praying” Catholicism brought out for sympathy in between bouts of making sure all abortion bills get through the House quickly to please Planned Parenthood.

yet, hours after the clip was on Fox, Shannon Bream had the usual two idiots - one allegedly pro and one anti-Trump.

the so-called pro-Trump guy repeatedly said Pelosi ripping up the speech was not pre-meditated, her anger has just built up. Shannon didn’t bring up the pre-rip clip, so it was left at that.

I think there needs to be a pardon for Pelosi on Monday to suck the wind out of the sails of New Hampshire. 2 minutes of a report of a full pardon, the President providing replacement copies for Congress (though not sent to the Speaker’s office as he’s not going to issue a second pardon) Figure 3 minutes off talking heads saying she did nothing wrong, reactions, etc. You’ll cut the free DNC ad touting New Hampshire’s primary to barely a mention when you add in Trump’s campaign rally.

If Pelosi can rip up an ‘official’ document (doesn’t matter if the ‘House copy’) and early say that once the bill is signed you can read it, that should leave PDJT ‘wide open’ to NOT send copies of anything to the LIBS, just give it to the ‘Senior’ R to make sure it gets to the right place.

Then the LIBs will be able to cry about being left out.

And asking the people in charge to censure their ‘leader’ is kind of ironic from the crowd that raises hell whenever they hear a Department is investigating themselves.
