Once Hopeful in Red Areas, Weary Resisters Become the Resisted
The New York Times ^ | February 6 2020 | Campbell Robertson

WASHINGTON, Pa. — In the winter of 2018, Cindy Callaghan knocked on doors. Lots and lots of doors. A new soldier in the sprawling ranks of the anti-Trump resistance, she spent her weekends in the small towns of southwestern Pennsylvania, telling strangers about Conor Lamb, the Democrat who was running for Congress in a district that President Donald Trump carried by nearly 20 percentage points.

When Lamb won his special election in a narrow but stunning upset, it seemed that there was an opportunity, if enough people put in enough work, to change minds and thus change the country’s politics. “I felt like there was,” Callaghan said.

Now, as she watches the Republicans’ swift rebuff of impeachment charges, the meltdown of the Iowa caucuses and the infighting among the supporters of various Democratic presidential candidates, she feels that less and less. “It doesn’t matter — find any kind of totally corrupt thing that Trump did, and it doesn’t matter,” she said. “Republicans are just unified. They’re a damn steel curtain.

I’m thinking of changing my tag. “You can’t share a country with people who are dangerously delusional.”

A main reason republicans lost the house was that the Mueller investigation was still going on, more so than the republicans performance in the house.

One of the democrats goals of the investigation was tampering with the 2018 election. If it wasn’t shut down they’d be using it to influence the 2020 election.

A big reason was cheating and funny business with the absentee ballots. Many races were anyway.

So pinch faced white prog females are out to sell Intersectional Theory to mainly white proles fresh from the WalMart self check out line. Big selling point, “You will get free healthcare after those with a higher Intersectional Rating.” FTR I am a White Christian man married to a biological Woman and my Intersectional rating on a scale of 1-10 is about 0.5.

With little pre-existing Democratic Party infrastructure in many places

The so-called Democrat "ground game" that the corporate media brags about is just a cover story to obfuscate vote fraud.

“It doesn’t matter — find any kind of totally corrupt thing that Trump did, and it doesn’t matter,”

Now she knows how we felt about Bill Clinton. And bill had actual prosecutable crimes, like rape and perjury.

Campbell Robertson, the Times journalist who has worked his way up from office clerk to gossip reporter to Broadway-beat man to the political scene, eh?

Republicans are “a steel wall”, eh?

Oh, the drama!

If the Democrat Party actually tried to make the lives of their voters better, instead of only worrying about the false impeachment narrative, maybe they would stand a chance this November. They still don’t get the Trump factor.

Remember how they kept telling us to “move on.org” from the Bubba Clinton scandals and impeachment? Why don’t they take their own advice?

A sweet, maternal lady of 75 or so came into my shop yesterday. After some preamble she informed me that Trump lies about everything. “I could just look at him and know he is a liar,” she said.
I asked her to tell me one thing he lied about. “Everything!”
I asked her if she had ever listened to the president. “Of course not. He is a liar.”
This woman acts on no evidence except her lying eyes. She was not angry, just absolutely certain. In fact her closed mind frustrated me to the point I had to get control of myself.
I was dumbfounded at the absolutely certainty of this woman based on nothing, no facts, no knowledge, no experience, no reason, nothing but her controvertible certainty that “he lies about everything. I can see it in his eyes.” She sees it with her lyin’ eyes.

They need to be contained like the Coronavirus.
This is done by voting in Trump conservatives across America. While Team Trump appoints more judges and drains the swamp. Thus reducing the deadly virus..leftism.

It takes $ to run campaigns.

Yes it does. I know a guy who ran and lost for a seat in the Virginia State Senate. George Soros dumped $12 mil. into the campaign of the Democrat running against him. He ended up having to spend more time fundraising than campaigning just to keep up.
