I’m willing to mourn their passing. The sooner the better.
Townhall tears makes my morning great.
“Loving your enemies” does not mean you need to trust them, or follow them, or support them, or vote for them, or give them any of your money, or give them any of your time, or trust them (yup, wrote this one twice), or believe anything they say, or be near them or any number of other things.

I love you Nancy, and Adam, and Jerry.
No, I don’t!
I guess I’m going to hell.
loving your enemies may be pointing out their mental illness in not accepting who they are...
Thank you for posting.
Sometimes Love can be Tough. It isn’t always peaches and creme.
Well said and part of the conundrum in cheering Trump - a very flawed man who has been blessed by God to do very wonderful things. I sense he understands even if his actions don’t match this understanding.
Our Bible Study group is looking through 1 John 4 this week and it can be very confusing unless you understand what specific love John is referring to. He’s talking about “agape”, a special form of love that God indwells in those whom He has given the Holy Spirit. It’s a godly love for Himself, His church, His people, His creation that He wants to flow through us as vessels of agape. This is why it is commanded, because He does not give us what He does not expect us to use and, by it’s use, we know and understand God more and grow His agape.
America is at war with itself...and this points out why the good guys are going to loose that war. Karl Marx was a self confessed satanist...and the Marxists have infiltrated our schools and media. While the good guys have done nothing.
I believe that the Marxists will bring us God’s judgement in the form of the Biblical Tribulation.
Me, I’ve purchased my sword and when they come for my weapons I will die defending the 2nd Amendment.
Give your enemy their full respect, never underestimte them, nor think them a fool. When that instance comes, and you see it and recognize it, do not wait an hour, to cash in on that instance.
Because they would, in a second!
One of our most difficult commandments.
Find myself failing this one way way too frequently.
I won’t give up trying, however.

I was kind of hoping it was just a mistranslation :)
Why?
Jesus loved the money changers, but that did not stop him from scourging them from the temple.
The author pays lip service to the justice of loving your enemy while highlighting and fighting their evil. Then he bumps President Trump for getting out the spotlight and fighting back.
If loving your enemy means a political leader cannot eliminate active subversion against the government and people, then loving your enemy becomes nothing more than capitulation.
I note that the author did not demand Christ apologize to the moneychangers at the temple.
Love them like a low income women’s unborn baby?
I think President Trump loves his enemies so much he’s willing to help them BE BETTER stewards of freedom by fighting their hateful policies.
Loving your enemies does NOT mean helping them succeed or ignoring the evil they do. Real love includes calling on them to repent of their evil.
Either way, President Trump is not my pastor. I adore him as president but have no desire to be given spiritual counsel by him. I heard and loved his Post-Impeachment Party. It was fantastic. And calling Pelosi evil and/or slamming her hypocrisy IS for her own good. SOMEONE needs to tell her to repent!
