Pundits are beginning to agree that Joe Biden's campaign is in a death spiral.
"Biden’s campaign is running on fumes," writes The Daily Beast's Sam Stein. "A candidate with all the trappings of a traditional frontrunner—the long résumé, party backing, relevant experience, and steady poll numbers—suddenly is on electoral life support."
So what happened? Should Biden's campaign crash and burn there will be much speculation over what went wrong. How did the frontrunner go from smooth sailing to the nomination to an epic disaster?
Well, I think the answer is already clear.
When you look at the Real Clear Politics tracking in the early states of Iowa and New Hampshire, you will notice a pattern: Biden starts losing support, or some other candidate starts to rise, around mid-September 2019.
Mid-September happens to be the same time the whistleblower complaint that launched Trump's impeachment became public.
Looking at the graphs of Iowa and New Hampshire you see quite clearly how Biden's candidacy was riding high, the unequivocal frontrunner, for months. Months! Then suddenly the race became competitive between Biden, Sanders, Warren, and eventually Buttigieg.
Biden has never regained that runaway frontrunner status since the Democrats started their bogus impeachment of Trump. And it's quite easy to understand why.
Prior to the whistleblower complaint, Biden's Ukraine conflict of interest was not on the public radar, but thanks to those revelations, videos of Biden admitting to a quid pro quo, and his son Hunter's position at Burisma Holdings were being discussed and debated openly by media. For sure, the liberal media attempted to downplay the significance of Biden's Ukraine problem, but Biden, who was seen as the sane and safe candidate, wasn't so safe anymore. Even Biden's cheerleaders on The View couldn't deny it.

Why endorse a loser. Reagan didn't endorse Bush until it was clear he would be the nominee, even Reagan knew Bush would not make a great President.
Biden was always a stalking horse. Everyone knows he is becoming more and more demented. He is there as a placeholder to be taken out whenever the DNC wants to.

Spot on. I have several liberal friends who are going to be crushed - and raging - when Trump wins re-election this November. I know exactly what I’m going to say to them: “Don’t be mad at Trump or his voters, be mad at the folks who created the Russia Collusion hoax. Because of that the Democrat party got tied up in 2+ years of trying to ‘get’ Trump, instead of doing what’s good for America. The only thing the Democrats had to run on this time was Orange Man Bad.”
I don’t know if they’ll listen, but it’s the truth.

Had Trump actually asked Ukraine for made-up charges against Biden and they’d delivered, it likely would have had far less effect than the airing - albeit partial - that the Bidens got from the impeachment hearings.

“In time, Biden’s family will appreciate how lucky he was to fail in the primaries; but, of course, Biden will still be claiming he won the election by cleverly not running.”

I called it. And I think many on FR called it. I could never figure out why Pelosi insisted on this impeachment, because it was never going to oust Trump, and in the end was going to finish the Bidens. Before the process I didn’t know Hunter Biden was an unqualified crack head. And now I do.
Maybe I guess, but all the big money was behind Biden. So counter priorities going on here?

Yes and that argument is appealing to partisans and casual on lookers. But the left is the victim of their strategy of repetition. The public has now heard about Hunter so many times, it has created enough doubt in their minds. Sadly humans by nature get nervous when something is repeated many times. Hell, the media makes it living this way.

I suspect Obama knew about the Biden Crime Family when he was "told" to take Joe on as his VP to keep the status quo oiled. My guess is Obama didn't endorse Joe for obvious reasons; the Obama's have their own agenda, or had.
