The president is doing this because he will pardon Stone and Gen. Flynn. It’s “optics”, as they say.
Blago merely conspired a pay for play unlike Hillary who actually did it countless times and he goes to jail and she doesn’t
Good point.
But I might add ... there’s bound to be more to this story that Trump knows and we Trumpsters don’t — at least for now.

In a book just released, The Story: A Reporter’s Journey, Judith Miller, a key witness in the Libby prosecution, states that Patrick Fitzgerald had offered repeatedly to drop all charges against Lewis Libby if he would “deliver” Vice President Cheney to him. In addition, she charges that Fitzgerald manipulated her into incorrectly testifying about a critical conversation she had with Libby and withheld exculpatory evidence from both her and the defense in order to induce her mistaken testimony – testimony the prosecution knew was made because she was acting under a false belief....
This is wrong.

Patrick Fitzgerald, who went after Cheney at the time Cheney was pushing for the surge and Powell was against it... later was asked by Comey to be Comey’s lawyer.
Fitzgerald is also partners with pro-Cuba/pro-Sandinista communist Greg Craig.
This is exactly how I feel WHY should Blagojevich be in prison WHILE HELLARY and her crew walk around free GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK!!! Come on people what’s fair is fair he spent 4 years in a federal prison I personally think that is enough considering just how much lawlessness Obama, Clinton, FBI, CIA, have gotten away with!!! I am sure Trump feels the same way!!!

Just like NYS.
1. It will force the demoRATS to condemn the commutation of one of their own.
2. It is a gesture of goodwill that will take the wind out of the democRATS sails about Trump being so partisan and without compassion.
3. It will soften the political crowd up for the pardoning Flynn and Stone, who I think he will fee.
4. It is a backhanded slap at Mueller and Comey (via his buddy Gregory Craig) who put Blagojevich in prison.
5. Blago may have evidence that Obama was involved in the corruption because he was negotiating to get Valarie Jarrett into his old US Senate seat at the time Blago got caught.
Did you read the indictment against him? It didn’t list even one law he had actually broken - it just said he was a bad guy.
The Constitution empowers the governor of the state to fill vacancies....there’s nothing about Congress being able to review the appointment in any way...even state legislatures’ review is dubious.
See Jim McGreevey, Bob Toricelli, Bob Menendez or Jon Corzine just for starters.

Mueller is a very bad man. I like someone to scrutinize his own doings. I would imagine he’s not as clean as he portrays himself to be
