Why Trump has already secured a second term — no matter who his opponent is
The Hill ^ | February 18, 2020 | SHARYL ATTKISSON

I’m not a professional political analyst, so my political analysis is worth about what you pay for it. However, a few people who know that I called Donald Trump as the 2016 winner, starting back in 2015, have asked me what I think now.

My prediction for the 2016 race was based on a variety of observational and anecdotal evidence. I listened to Democrats, Republicans and independents across the U.S. I talked to people who consider themselves apolitical. I heard from taxi and Uber drivers, the Verizon man, stay-at-home moms, college grads, professionals, blue-collar delivery workers. And I watched nearly every rally of Trump and his opponents.

Now, that same unscientific methodology has led me to conclude that Trump has already secured a second term — no matter who his main opponent turns out to be.

Here are seven ways I think Trump has already secured a second term:

More experience. Trump is the only candidate who has served as president and commander in chief for four years.

Extreme vetting. Trump has been as thoroughly vetted as any political figure in American history, if not more so.

The sky didn’t fall. Some Republicans worried that Trump would be too liberal in practice; some independents were wary. Economists predicted the stock market would immediately crash

No surprises. Trump has proven to be exactly as he advertised. He has gone from being an unknown to being quite predictable, like him or not.

He’s a proven survivor. Not much new can be thrown at Trump that will shake his support.

Height. Trump is taller than any of the likely Democrat nominees.

But today, if I were betting, all my money would have to be on another Trump victory.

Is that what he is planning on spending?

If there are 125 million voters he will spend 8 dollars per voter for each billion spent.

or 400 dollars for 50 billion spent.

We still need to register as many voters as we can and fight election fraud as hard as we can.

This is obvious to anyone but the biggest TDS sufferers.

Dems are at a best case scenario of 10 states plus DC regardless of who their nominee is.

And the fustercluck that is the democrat primary dumpster fire, makes it a very real possibility that they may not reach that level.

People don’t vote for the tallest specifically as a criterion, but rather it weighs on the mind and acts as a subconscious influence.

“Assuming Dems do not cheat with vote fraud, illegals voting and vote harvesting”

Your venturing out into fantasy.

.... It’s best to look at the upcoming Federal Election as being up against the fight of our lives ... Which may actually be the case.
Never Forget that the Republicans actual super power is to bravely snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory! The dysfunctional GOP has a very difficult time coming together as a cohesive team.

It’s like the democrats campaign harder for Trump than republicans do. The endless fake investigations and impeachment only bolstered his support a hundred fold.

Are democrats really this stupid? I guess so.

GW shrub was vetted when? Obummer? Even Jeb! wasn't vetted. He was just found to be as exciting as your foot falling asleep.

“She lost me at height. Do people really choose their presidents based on how tall they are?”

First thing I noticed as a 5’8” USAF officer was that all generals were tall. This was post Curtis LeMay however. But I think it is pretty well established that it is to better be tall than not.

Are you unimpressed with Sheryl’s ‘gravitas’?
She seems to be earnest, clear headed and clear spoken.
Even still, I remain open to other folks perceptions.

Much as I hate to say it, I would be very surprised if he can carry CO. Unfortunately my state has been infiltrated by a bunch of libs from CA and the east coast. Our governor is the absolute worst- extremely liberal, gay and a major dweeb.

Most of the time yes. W and Carter were exceptions

In comparison for a hypothetical matchup
Donald Trump - 6’ 3”
Bernie Sanders 6’ 0”
Joe Biden 6’ 0”
Pete Buttplug - 5’ 10”
Mike Bloomberg - 5’ 6”
