I seem to remember a story posted here years ago about Chris Matthews signing autographs and posing for photos with a bunch of FReepers holding a demonstration somewhere in the DC area. LOL. I could never really hold a grudge against him after that.

I remember when he subbed for Rush many years ago. He respected the audience and made an obvious effort to not evangelize. It was in his interest to behave but the fact is he did. I give him credit for doing so. Yes he is a leftist true believer but it will be a shame if he gets bounced because he said the truth.

I would just like to be the first to say how much we all regret the untimely suicide of Chris Matthews in a day or two.
